When this little guy came in, I was ecstatic. I've been using a black, shallow plastic tray - one of those that holds mushrooms... or was it a small take out container? - for my dish washing sponge and I wanted something more permanent. When I saw this, I KNEW I had to have it. There was a question mark of would it be big enough, but no matter. Spontaneous purchase is spontaneous.I got it and it was everything I could dream of. Except for the fact that my rectangular, yellow sponge is too big for the mouth so a good inch of it sort of sticks out. I think it's a nice look for Mr. Shark. Although I would like for my entire sponge to fit, I suppose it was not meant to be. I can fit my entire fist in its mouth, but my sponge is just too long...Either way, I'm still keeping the guy because it looks dashingly awesome on my counter top. Even with the bright yellow sponge sticking out of its mouth.

Upon arrival, I am not a big fan of the color and he reminds me more of a blob fish than a shark, but the quality is definitely good. He's just ugly/adorable enough that he'll reside in my kitchen for a long time to come as we continue to add more ocean fun around it.

This may be the nicest item I have ever purchased via Amazon. This cute clay shark is speckle glazed with a muted, but shiny blue grey tint. There are little black eyes, a pointy nose, and a sweet little tail. Just the right size for a kitchen sponge, scrubber, or soap but this is definitely cute enough for jewelry storage, and could hold bracelets well. I like that the teeth are not sharp, and they act to keep the sponge elevated so it dries quickly. Very easy to wipe clean, as the interior surfaces that are likely to get dirty are smooth and evenly glazed. The shark is not heavy, but seems sturdy and well balances, not thin or skimpy like so many glazed pieces. What a cute idea and very creative form!There's only one thing you can do to make this better - more products from this designer! I would love to see this expanded into a more diverse product line with matching hand soap dispensers, soap dishes, and spoon rests.

This little shark is so damn cute! It took a quite a long time to ship but it was worth the wait. It's a really nice ceramic piece with a well done paint job.

Disappointed that the item is actually a sage/brownish colour rather than blue. I bought it to match the blues in my kitchen and like the look of it in blue which is why I purchased it. I think the colour it comes in is an ugly colour. It's also larger that I was expecting, which is fine, but it doesn't fit on the edge my sink unfortunately. I would be happy with this purchase if it were the blue colour it shows but not happy with being sent an ugly greenish/brown one.
