Colorful quality illustrations. But the best part is the story which our grandchildren loved. A great way to teach history.

This is, of course, historical fiction - don't assume this is a real story. But that doesn't detract anything from this book as a wonderful beginning for children in the American Revolution. Lively, thrilling and lots of fun, kids who love history will love this story.

My students loved this book. I like how they had some real life pictures in the call outs for them to get an idea of what actually happened.
