I found installation was quick; less than an hour to replace the existing dead bolt and get up and running with the app. Very heavy duty high quality parts.I suspect most of the issues in the negative reviews were addressed over time. This was purchased and installed in May 2025.So far I have not experienced the short battery life many 1 star reviews described due to the WiFi module, but this door lock is only operated twice a day. In anticipation of short battery life I used rechargeable AA’s, and have a charger close to the lock.There is both an IOS app for the iPhone and the Apple watch. The watch app gives status (door open or closed, locked or unlocked). Watch and iPhone apps work remotely when we are away from the house.We added this lock to allow access to contractors as needed. It’s easy to set up multiple door codes and restrict when they can be used.

- Follow the instructions, it can be confusing at first but if you look at the diagram it will help.- You have multiple bolt sizes that will help the lock fit into your door, which you need to look at the thickness of door and ensure it matches- Lastly look at the power cable, make sure it fits through the guided slot and fit it into the power pin connector- After configuring it, it makes entering a door a lot easier. You forget the key: use the keypad, thumbprint, or apple home to open the lock.- The fingerprint recognition works well, you need to roll your finger on the sensor a number of times to get it to work- Last part to my review, the door ajar sensor would never configure but I decided to skip it. It’s an interesting feature but it’s not the end of the world without it configured.

We had the previous generation with Nest, this one is better. Fingerprint reader works fast. Easy to install. Looks great.

Incredibly disappointed in this lock. Was looking for something more durable and more reliable when using fingerprint, but this was not it. Within four months it started failing completely and losing all functionality randomly. It was eating batteries like no other lock I've ever used. Almost weekly we were changing batteries.Unfortunately it was outside of the return time when it started to fail and customer service has been almost non-existent. Desperately needed a fast resolution as this was a security risk, but the back and forth emails go nowhere. Finally just went back to Ultralock and wrote this off as a lesson learned.

This automated lock was just what I was looking for. We now have the ability to unlock the door using a code, fingerprint or key. You can assign specific codes to people or open the lock from your phone if needed. It’s especially helpful that it will lock itself after so many seconds so we don’t have to try to remember if we locked the door. It’s always locked!

Great product so far. I’ve had it installed for about 3-4 weeks now. What is the simplest lock have ever purchased. I have tried multiple different brands and so far this one wins.

The Yale lock is pretty straightforward to install. I was really happy to see that. It also has templates within the manual that you can cut out if you do not have any of the holes pre-cut on your door. The instructions are easy to follow. There’s no way you can miss any step. The door lock itself works amazing. I like the fact that it has a fingerprint reader that you could use instead of punching in the pin or vice versa. The front of the door lock does indeed look pretty nice. It’s the fact that I’m somewhat concerned. It looks very bulky and I understand that that’s where all the brains of the door lock are located. Functionality wise it works amazing you could set up different users to access the door lock. As far as the way it looks I don’t really like the way it looks on the inside of my home because of the protruding block.

My fav lock yet! It has helped me feel safe and locks behind me when I leave the house’ ! I get excited to lock the door it is so fun on the app to use! You can unlock the house while away for any one to come for vacation etc as well!!it is so sleek and pretty looking!
