Premium Light Strip with Premium Features
I almost took away a start because the setup is very complex, but I think this is geared towards a community of modders that don't mind the complexity. The unit is the same length and price point as Phillips Hue, and has cooler features for gamers. I love the PC app control, and I love the integration to Elgato's products like Stream Deck. You can even drive this light strip from OBS for streaming, and have plugins there change your light strip based on what's happening in your game or stream! I was also able to integrate this into my Amazon ecosystem, and ask it to change my room's lights to a color, and all of my lights from the different vendors that accept color commands all change at once, including this strip.I wish each light could be changed individually - that's not possible with this strip, it's single color across all lights. I like the colors, and I like the individual levels of brightness. This is a premium light strip at a premium price, if you're looking for one with great PC integration, then this is your go-to solution, it's awesome!

Weak adhesive
The lights are great, but the adhesive is not strong enough.

Concise Review
I am going to try to keep this short. Razer always has a premium sticker price and this does not differ. Razer always usually has higher quality parts and there is no different with this led strip it is over engineered to be one of the best units out there. It is simple to set up simple to use and expand over time. I would recommend the product.

Set-up is a little tricky
So far, I have only tested this out via the app and the manual option. I haven’t set it up yet because I want to ensure that it’s in the right place before I use the adhesive backing. I love that it supports bluetooth pairing and that it can work with both my alexa and google. The set-up was pretty simple. It did take me unplugging and replugging the light strip to get it to actually connect via bluetooth. And, for whatever reason, it would disconnect. The connection issue is the only reason why I knocked off a star.I love that you can control the brightness, the color, and the mode (there’s like three different light modes) via app. It’s a small delay for the changes to actually appear on the strip but it’s still pretty cool. Overall, it’s a pretty cool strip and I can’t wait to figure out how to place it in my office.

[UPDATED] App / pairing issues (Android 9/10, Alexa)
Update: original review below. Revisited this product one month after it's initial release to find that the Razer Gamer Room app now properly launches on my Android 9 device. Having said that, I am still comfortable leaving this as a 3-star review, as I had originally taken into account for the app problems just being a "me" thing (judging by other reviews from across the product family, I clearly wasn't the only one.)Now that I have it up and running, though, I'll also add that this light feels grossly overpriced for no reason other than allowing integration within the Razer Chroma environment. If you are not heavily invested into Chroma you are almost certainly better off going with something cheaper. What struck me the most is just how few presets there were with the app (solid, breath, cycle, and a couple Razer-themed patterns.)==========Without something for the hardware to communicate with this is just a really, really expensive strip light. That, unfortunately, was the exact scenario I found myself in while trying to set this thing up. The included documentation references an app called "Razer Smart Home" with a requirement of Android 9 or higher. This app does not appear to exist, and was likely rebranded as "Razer Gamer Room" sometime after this documentation was printed, and the only requirements I can find referenced anywhere for it also suggests Android 9 at minimum. Well, I've now got the app downloaded on phones running both Android 9 and 10, and in both cases the app crashes immediately upon loading.Fine... we'll try going with the Alexa app. The included documentation only gives me options for connecting app-to-Alexa via a "skill" feature, so we gotta do this the hard way. This is Matter-compatible, though! Should be a breeze! Add a device... 'other' / Matter-compatible.... scan the QR..... connecting...... device found....... setting up connection........ an unknown error has occurred.Without a way to connect the device to my network in some way the only functionality I have is a manual press-button switch between 8(?) different color options. Gross. Now, what are my thoughts if I had actually been able to get this thing up and going? Honestly, not a whole lot better. As best I can tell, they don't really want you cutting this strip light (no indicator lines, no ends or connectors, etc.) Perhaps, in a pinch, it could be done without affecting the functionality, but this would very much be a one-and-done situation, no repairs possible. The power connector is absolutely obnoxious in size, and though it doesn't technically block both outlets on a wall socket if installed on the bottom, you'll probably be tempted to install it on the top just for additional support. The cables are somewhat on the short side, and the distance from switch to lights is limiting as well.Razer's Gamer Room lamps and bulbs seem like way more versatile products to add this functionality to your space (...if you can get the software side of things functioning.)

Works Great w/ Razer Chroma RGB
First of all, this is a premium LED RGB strip and the primary reason you should be considering it, is because it works well with other Razer Chroma RGB linked products. Such as their razer seiren v3 microphone and other accessories. IT all syncs, and just works to create this awesome effect. It's PERFECT for streaming and creating that professional look at a relatively low cost and low effort. And for those reasons I'm in. Easy setup, professional looks, and just plain works. It's Razer!
