Easy to use - worked great.
I removed a light switch and used this to patch the hole. It was easy to apply and is really sturdy. The adhesive should be a little more sturdy as it came loose while I was getting the texture and had to be reapplied. However the finished product was great.

It Works Just As Expected, It's Good for Your Anger Problems.
It works just as expected. I bought this wall patch because of my anger problems.I love that it is a steel patch. That means that your wall will be stronger than it is before.I also love the fact that there were instructions on the back. I never patched a wall before so the instructions were helpful.

Good for wall patching
It didn't work for my application, but my application was out of the norm (hole in a bathroom door). Even with that, I was able to peel the sticky mesh from the stainless steel plate, stick the sticky mesh over the hole in the door, and put on the putty patch over it. It's working well and is strong (although not the ideal repair method).

Overkill for some situations
This works nicely, but make sure you use it in the right situation. I ran a new circuit in the bathroom so had two drywall holes to patch. Patching drywall is never the fun part of a project so I wanted to see if this would make my life easier. I patched one hole with this product, and one the traditional way (cut a piece of drywall to fit and use it as a patch). The self adhesive patch worked just fine, but because it is large you end up with a lot of real estate to spackle and paint. In the end the self adhesive patch ended up taking me about twice as long as just cutting a piece of drywall and screwing it in. Note that I had a simpler situation because I was pulling wires and therefore had studs behind each of the holes and could therefore just screw in the drywall patch. If I had had to attach a backing board to give me something to screw the drywall piece into then it would have been a more significant patch job.In summary: I would use this patch for a situation where there is nothing behind the hole in wall (and consequently it's not simple to attach a drywall patch). I think this is the intended use of the product anyway, if you look at the picture of the door handle hole on the packaging. But if it's a situation where you can just cut a piece of drywall and screw it into a stud that is behind the hole in the wall then you don't want to use this product as it will take you longer.

Really does the job.
I've used several of these before in a rental property so knew it worked great. This one was bought to cover the hole left when an old phone jack, including the box, was removed so I knew it would do the job. The instructions are simple to follow & the 6" one on Amazon is cheaper than 4" at Wal-Mart. (I always use the heavy-duty version.)

Works.
Works great, but you’ll want to Spackle it on right away because it will fall off if you leave it on by itself for a while. It will also mostly leave a small Petrosian in the wall. You’ll also want to get sandpaper or it’ll look sloppy.
