Doesn't work, waste of my money
Recently recieved my uric acid blood test with a result of 9.5 mg/dL. Thought it would be a great time to track my progress and get a base line from using the test strips. Hate to say but the test results from the test strips did not work as expected. I followed the instructions provided, Iāve done 8 tests so far and the color on the strip never changes, expected to be in the medium/dark grey. In fact there was almost no color change, I feel I wasted my money. Save your money and get uric acid blood test to get valid results. Will continue to use, will give a update when he all the strips are used.

Very Impressive!
I never write reviews, but wanted to say how amazing these strips are! I was recently diagnosed with Gout unfortunately...and it's stressful not knowing where your UA levels are. And it's not like I can keep asking my doctor to take blood work hoping the UA levels have dropped. So, I did my research and found these strips! Wow! I love it! And it's extremely quick! You get the results in 60 seconds! Now, I can test and gauge what I can and cannot eat or drink easily. Knowing what foods and drinks that are triggers for potential flare-ups are key! But, keep in mind my doc also has me on Uloric, so my levels stay in the low range. Thanks God! šš½ Without the Uloric, I'm at Mid-Range on these strips. They're very inexpensive and really help! Get them! Good Luck and God Bless you all! šš½

Strips don't work
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. My strips came back light blue, which is not even on the results. It's frustrating when you are working hard on improving something to do with your heath and can't count on a product you purchase to provide the results outlines on the packaging.

Works great very accurat
My husband has gout and I have kidney issues. For my husband these are a lifesaver, they were so quick to detect flare ups, literally an hour after eating. Also much more convenient than blood testing. For me these are a really nice and easy way to track if my kidneys are leaking. Some people on here reviewing that they are not accurate because the color pads are white and white is not on the color chart. Come on people, white means 0 uric acid in urine, a negative reading. Usually they do not put negative reading colors on the color chart. Will buy again.

Not sure if i am using this correctly
So the idea of being able to test my uric levels at home is great. The only problem is, is I have tried 3 different/separate tests, with several strips and none of them are turning any color. Not sure if I got a bad batch, but looking at other reviews, looks like I am not the only one. I will continue to try. Luckily I have not had a gout attack in almost 2 years and my last dr visit indicated my levels are finally normal, but it would sure be nice to keep track once in a while. Hopefully I will get better(any)results as I keep trying.

ā¼ļø no real certifications for accuracy
ā”ļø Questionable Claims & Lack of VerificationOne of the first things that stood out about the DoubleCheck Uric Acid Test Strips was their bold claim of being ā50x more dependableā than other uric acid test strips. This sounds impressiveāuntil you realize there is zero verifiable evidence to back it up.ā No independent study is referencedāthe product description just vaguely mentions an āindependent studyā without providing any citations, details, or links to a verified source.ā No FDA approval or third-party certificationāMedical diagnostic tools like urinalysis strips should ideally have FDA clearance or be verified by a third-party organization (such as CLIA, CAP, or ISO certification for laboratory accuracy). This product provides no evidence of clinical validation.ā Marketing trickāTerms like ā50x more dependableā are meaningless without context. More dependable than what baseline? What study? What testing method? This is a textbook example of marketing preying on health-conscious consumers without scientific backing.ā”ļø Accuracy & Reliability Concernsā Uric acid in urine is highly variableāYour uric acid levels can fluctuate daily based on diet, hydration, and kidney function. A single urine test is not a reliable indicator of chronic uric acid levels, and blood tests are far more accurate for diagnosing gout or kidney issues.ā Urinalysis test strips can degrade over timeāMany test strips lose sensitivity and accuracy if not stored properly, especially if exposed to humidity, heat, or air. Thereās no information about stability testing or expiration date reliability on this product.ā Better options on AmazonāThere are uric acid test kits that have FDA clearance or are designed by reputable diagnostic companies. If you truly need uric acid monitoring, Iād recommend a blood-based uric acid meter rather than urine strips, since urine tests are far less reliable for tracking long-term metabolic function.ā”ļø Materials & Environmental Considerationsā Plastic-heavy packagingāThe strips come in a standard plastic vial, which is common for urinalysis strips, but thereās no mention of eco-friendly packaging or recycling options.ā Unknown chemical reagentsāUrinalysis test strips use colorimetric reagents to react with uric acid, but this product doesnāt list what chemicals are used. Some older test strips have been found to contain heavy metals or toxic reagentsāwithout transparency, thereās no way to verify if these are safe for disposal.ā A better alternative on Amazon would be a test kit that:⢠Provides full disclosure of testing reagents⢠Has third-party verification of accuracy⢠Uses more sustainable packagingā”ļø Personal Experience: Ease of Use, Accuracy & Resultsā Ease of UseāThe strips are easy to use, and the instructions are fairly straightforward. You dip the strip in urine for a few seconds, then compare the color change to the included chart.ā Color matching is inconsistentāThe shades on the reference chart are very close together, making it hard to tell where your result actually falls. If you donāt have good lighting, your reading might be inaccurate.ā No confirmation methodāWith a real medical urinalysis, youād have controls and verification steps, but with this, thereās no way to know if the strip is giving an accurate reading or a false positive/negative.ā”ļø Who Might Consider This & Who Should Avoid It?ā Might be useful for:⢠People who want a general idea of uric acid levels, though this should not replace a real medical test.⢠Those using it as a basic dietary guide (for example, if youāre testing before/after eating high-purine foods).ā Not recommended for:⢠Anyone trying to diagnose gout, kidney disease, or metabolic disordersāThis test is not clinically reliable. A blood test is the gold standard for assessing uric acid.⢠Anyone who needs precise monitoringāThese strips donāt provide exact numerical values, just color-based estimates, which leaves a lot of room for error.ā”ļø Price vs. Value: Is It Worth $40?ā At $40, this is overpriced for what it is.ā For the same price or less on Amazon, you can find:⢠Blood uric acid meters (which are significantly more accurate).⢠Urinalysis strips from established medical brands with FDA clearance.ā”ļø Final Verdict āļøāļøā Pros: Easy to use, provides a basic uric acid estimate, includes 50 test strips.ā Cons: No verified accuracy, sketchy marketing claims, unclear chemical reagents, unreliable results for medical use.If youāre just curious about uric acid trends, this could be a casual tool, but if you need accurate health tracking, Iād recommend a more reputable test on Amazon. The unverified ā50x more dependableā claim makes me question the reliability of this product.

Instructions chart wrong color
The color charts are completely different on the instructions vs the bottle. The instructions are purple shades, the bottle is blue shades. The bottle seems to be the correct one as my test came out light blue and did not match anything on the instructions page. This should be FIXED. The charts should match. Or just donāt include instructions if they are going to have an incorrect chart.
