Riwendell Tea Kettle 2.1 Quart Whistling Stainless Steel Stove Top Teapot (GS-04044AHY-2.0 L)

When I first opened it I thought it was too small, since I boil enough water to start two pitchers of tea. So I started a return but left it in my car so long that my return label expired, so I used it and IT WAS NOT TOO SMALL! So glad I failed to return it because it is perfect!

This tea kettle is very unique and attractive. I really like it. However, it requires extra attention if you want it to remain in good condition.

Cute, but... Really small, literally the smallest stove-top teapot I've ever seen. Holds barely 1/2 L of liquid, or about 16oz. I've seen teapots around the same price in-store but which were much larger. NO WAY this holds 2 qts.

First off, this kettle is loud. I don't even understand why, but it makes a loud noise as soon as the water begins to heat up. Annoying, but not a functional issue; I still get hot water.My bigger issue is that it smelled horrible and gave the water a horrible chemical taste. I had to boil and pour out at least 6 kettles of water before it became drinkable and I'm still a little leery about drinking water boiled in this thing.Finally, while the handle is really nice - feels good in the hand and does not get hot - the kettle itself feels and looks cheap. It is a very thin metal and shows every speck of dust.

This is a nice sized, cute and unique looking teapot. The only thing is usually you know the water is ready to boil because it gets loud but this is very loud as it heats up and then gets quiet just as it whistles . Odd!

The teapot is great and whistles nice and loud.

I like when you have the option to hear the whistle - or not. Looks great. Unique design. classy BUT whistle stays on an no way to leave cap open like most/all other models so that if you are in the bedroom & it boils then you have piercing sound until you run to take it off the burner. If you like not having the feature to control this then this is value for money.

EDIT: Just wanted to revise my review and add another star, the whistle actually works and is louder than I originally mentioned. I didn't have the lid on tight which I think made the whistle not work right, it's whistling now perfectly and I can hear it from the other room :)I have only had it a short time but I do love the look of it, as for function, it does boil my water. The size is good for what I use so I'm happy there. The whistle isn't very loud, I'm only a short distance away and I can't hear it until I go right in the kitchen and recently it doesn't seem to whistle at all and I forget I'm boiling the water until it's almost evaporated away. Also like others have said the handle does get pretty hot, I just try to pour my water fast enough to not get too much steam on my hand. I had a pretty good electric kettle that worked fine, but only bought this for it's looks really so I can't complain, it still looks pretty I do love the wood grain handle, that is what sold me on it.

It was a gift for my sister. She loves the look of it and the handle really looks like wood. Very quick heating up and very safe handling.
