I have so much more energy taking this, that I no longer need caffeine to function! And my daughter's moods are stable and she smiles a lot more, she's much happier.I was recommended this item from my doctor, who is trained in functional and Chinese medicine - for my daughter whose labwork showed decreased liver function and decreased detox/ methylation pathways. After one day on this, her moods improved dramatically and her adrenal function has improved (she no longer requires daily omega 3 and adrenal herbs to maintain her moods and behavior, without any of these she is moody and aggressive). I decided to take it at the same time so I'd know what my daughter was taking, and wow did I feel great and have been taking it every day since!I'm in hopes we can get to a point where we no longer rely on this product every day... but for now, we're feeling really great on it.UPDATE: My daughter and I have been taking it for nearly 2 years. We are not to the bottom of WHY our liver and adrenals aren't working properly but this is 100% making a difference for both of us. My daughter's moods do rely on this product regularly. For me, it maintains my liver function. If I've missed it for a few days and have an adult drink, the alcohol will give me a migraine. But this is not the case if I have been taking these shakes. So there's evidence it makes a difference.

I have milk sensitivities, which means I can't have a whey protein. This pea protein formulation blends very well into your beverage, tastes delicious, and doesn't leave a funny taste in your mouth; settles in your stomach well too. I found this particular product from my nutritionist, and as a result, I have been using this product for almost two years. Designs for Health is a great health/wellness product line that is reasonably priced and well formulated.

Paleocleanse is loaded with nutrition and is low calorie (100 calories/16 grams of protein) and with no sugar and only 6 grams of carbs, so it's very good for weight management and/or low carbohydrate diets. It was recommended to me by my nutritionist who is also a macrobiologist. It doesn't have a great nummy taste, but it's not bad and actually good after you get accustomed to it. It's sweetened with stevia and tapioca dextrin. However, it's very pricey especially because it only has 21 (16 grams of protein) servings. But it is from a worthy company that takes it's nutrition seriously. I gave it only four stars because of the price and the taste. Really cleanses your body of toxins but beware - a cleanse can be an ugly process as your body empties....fevers, chills, crying, weird negative thoughts and dreams... and I personally became lactose intolerant after this...but I got it back after lots of probiotic loading and now can have dairy. I lost 12 lbs and lots of anxiety and negativity with this cleanse - never knew it could be that effective and I plan on doing it again every few months even though the process is not pleasant to go through - I did 14 days and then a 5 day and the second cleanse wasn't as traumatic as the first. It's worth it if you care about your health and want to "start fresh" so you can eat more nutritionally. I recommend it.

Pure Encapsulations are the best supplements by light years. However, this is the WORST tasting stuff I have ever tasted. I tried everything and could barely gag this down. I only managed to gag it down for two days. Waste of my money but I still think Pure Encapsulations are the best quality. They need to work on the taste of this though.

My preference would be to give this product 5 stars for doing what it's supposed to do, and only 1 star for taste. I notice a lot more stamina using this cleanse, and I noticed it from day one! I imagine it's the B vitamins. Anyway, this was recommended in the Hashimoto's Protocol book so I ordered it. Because I am trying to keep my sugars low, I am not mixing this with fruit. I tried blending it in my other smoothie but it was ghastly. It smells like berry but I simply cannot describe the taste. Tried blending it with strawberries but I never tasted the strawberry. Nothing seems to mask the taste. Maybe I will try it with cocoa powder as another reviewer did. But, for right now, I take it in water and choke it down. Really, it can activate your gag reflex. And as others have mentioned, they are not sensitive to bad tastes. My vegetable smoothie is very green with no fruit. So this product is great for getting you out of bed and moving, but if you are eliminating fruit because of sugar, you are going to need to find a way to make it palatable.Update:I tried this with 1 scoop of chocolate kale shake and two teaspoons of raw cacao powder. All that seemed to do was to mask the chocolate flavor. You couldn't even smell it. It still tasted bad. : o (Being the trouper that I am, I tried again. This time with lots of ice. I can get it down with lots of ice making it very cold so killing the taste somewhat. You will still have to drink it fast! And you will still have an aftertaste that lasts for hours and defies tooth brushing and peppermint essential oil.

I am personally not a fan of the flavor...nor the gritty consistency it gives my drinks and smoothies. But that's just me! It's not as bad as some protein powders I've used. I know that most powders result in a gritty consistency, so this powder is not unique in that regard. But for anyone looking to buy this, just know that's what you'll get! I'm taking this as a part of a hormone-reset protocol, and other than the taste and consistency, I haven't had any bad experiences with it! Lots of awesome ingredients :) But not something I would choose for deliciousness or anything... but everyone is different!
