Ultimate protection if your undercarriage is suffering!
This saddle has allowed me to continue riding my bike! I gave up some years ago due to issues with "my bits" and also prostatitis - both triggered by bike saddles (I was doing alot of biking on a road bike). Anyone who suffers from either of these should seriously consider this saddle. I spent several hundered pounds trying other saddles with various amounts of padding and design including 2 noseless designs but they all irritated (which unfortunately you only notice after the ride when it's too late).I am now using this saddle on a hybrid for road and light off road cycling (daily for up to 20k including hills) and...well, I'm still cycling after several months - symptom free! This design has its drawbacks: you need to adjust the saddle a bit further back than a usual saddle and adjusting height and tilt takes a bit of trial and error and is not always intuitive. You seem to want to sit further back on this saddle too - and consequently put a little bit more pressure on your hands. The front of the saddle digs into your thighs a bit, which you can minimise by adjustment and I bought a set back seat post to help. I am still aware of it touching my thighs and I cant vouch for any kind of performance cycling or really long distance stuff. For that, the pro version might be better. Either way, this has transformed my life by allowing me to cycle again. There are alot of negative comments about this saddle on various internet bike fora. Judging by the language used, I think these comments stem from pretty narrow minded folks and perhaps those who are really into performance cycling/speed. I would guess none of these comments come from someone who had prostatitis. Also, another tip: worth searching around for the best price. The price online can vary from £45 to £145!

Ingenious design
A very clever design. Easy to fit to standard seat post. Easily adjustable. Takes a bit of practice to get used to riding on it without slipping off. Unfortunately, didn’t resolve my perineal nerve problem so still can’t ride the bike.

In general Good idea-poor make
After 15 km of use-it starts squeaking.Even duly lubricated-it squeaks. This is very disappointing for me. In general Good idea-poor make!

A great purchase!
As a life time 'easy rider' I fitted Brookes saddles without thought. In the mid 1970''s I was knocked off my Yamaha motorcycle several times and as a result 20+ years later have painful hips and other parts! Using Brookes saddles always caused me discomfort as it's like sitting on a old railway sleeper!! I have purchased other saddles, like a blow up one, one's with gaps here and there and other variations. I even brought one called the Big Bum saddle and 'velcroed' a air bag to the top and fitted a home made seat cover! This was reasonably successful. I then found out about the Hobson saddles. After I purchased this saddle and fitted it and in my usual manner of not reading the instructions, I set off from outer Worcestershire to Warwick to visit my daughters home via the canal''s. All was well apart from the saddle edge cutting into my leg back parts......later to get cramp there. I now read up on the Internet about how to set up the saddle for ME! I rode my cycle several times and lowered the front of the saddle a quarter of a inch and moved the saddle back twice. Now all is comfortable. I even wore my new hernia truss whilst on the saddle, it has a strap that goes under your leg...imagine a Brookes with that strap! In no time at all the truss became invisible to my mind and the comfort remains....it's all down to the cooling gap in the saddle middle.....a seven star award!

Adjust your expectations for this!
Been using this over a year now. Put hundreds of miles on it. It has other challenges but solves the groin discomfort issue which is all I needed. 6'6" 270ish.Important things to note:1. Pads. Each pad has a slight pivot to it as you pedal it moves just a bit with each leg to ease the pressure into that leg as it rotates down. Also they aren't soft so wear padded riding shorts and you'll feel fine after a few rides. Think I saw mention of pad covers you can buy for them too.2. Your balance changes on this, no nose means no leg control means no hands free riding like when you were a kid. Your weight shifts without a nose. You will feel more work on your back, abs and shoulders trying to balance. It takes a few rides to let the muscles get used to this, just take easy short rides and work your way up.4. The adjustable space between pads is deceiving. You don't need it as far apart as you think. I'm a big guy and I made it closer in about finger width. I thought I had to go wider and realized I was feeling discomfort in my ride and so moved them closer in and immediately felt better. Don't forget to screw the pin in tight to the adjustable wheel once you've got it where you want, or it will tend to shift wider while riding.5. It comes just with the rails to mount onto the newer design seat clamps. It doesn't mount onto the old pole design where the seat slides onto the pole and you tighten a single bolt.6. Picture on amazon shows a metal wheel to adjust seat position. As of writing this the Hobson site shows plastic. Mine was plastic and has held up fine.7. Rails are metal, rest of it is plastic except for the metal bolt the pads rotate on. No signs of warping cracking brittleness or fatigue after a year. Anywhere, including the seat pads.I couldn't ride with the nice seat my specialized roll sport came with, I kept getting numb a few miles in and was just done by 8 or so miles. Had to get off every few miles and walk it off then go a bit more. Found this on Amazon and gave it a shot. Was weird and uncomfortable at first and challenged some of my other muscles I wasn't expecting. But then I started riding further and I wasn't quitting because I was numb and my butt hurt but because my legs were tired or I was plain out of energy. Easily doubled my ride times and distance. I don't sit quite upright I tend to lean in a bit and then go upright to shift my weight for a break but this seat feels most stable slightly leaned in. My bike has a drop post too so sometimes I feel like I'm balancing on a unicycle but I figure it's good core work. It's not soft. I don't think princess and the pea types would enjoy it (looking at you, mom). If your butt isn't used to hard surfaces and your muscles are out of practice it's going to feel worse. The more you use it the more you get used to it.

A Good Solution
The Hobson Easyseat II Saddle is proving to be the solution to my cycling woes! With this saddle I can cycle for longer than I could with a traditional saddle or even with a so-called "woman's" saddle with the centre cut-out. I have used a variety of bike seats over the years and none of them helped with my personal issues! It seems like there are a ton of bike seats out there aimed at men and their precious jewels, but very few address a woman's anatomy, which is typical. I don't know if my female genitalia is that different from any other woman's (I rather doubt it) but traditional bike seats, with a nose, are very painful and irritating for me, and most importantly, way too stimulating!!! I don't think I need to go into detail about that last bit. I'm out there for a solid bike ride, not to get aroused. So if this is an issue for you too, then go with the Hobson EasySeat II. Yes, it takes some adjustments and getting used to. No, it's not the perfect solution. But what is? It's the best solution for me so far, and I've been there, done that way too many times. I'm not going back to a noseless saddle. Not ever. I ride a Rocky Mountain Whistler 50. I'm on pavement, trails and gravel. I'll be getting another Hobson EasySeat II for my spin bike as well. One more bonus is that there is no more numbness in my left foot when I'm cycling. That was just as irritating as that "other" issue!
