Flute/Low D Whistle

Versatile
This item arrived in less than a week, which thought was good going, considering there was a Bank Holiday in the middle of that period. The reason I bought this particular flute/whistle combo, was the option of the removable heads I find the one piece flutes really awkward to hold and play to get a good tone.By being able to rotate the flute head, I'm hoping to overcome that problem. As a low D whistle it's fine, but like other people have commented, the fingering is a bit of a stretch.I haven't had enough time to really use it as a flute,as yet, to see if it will suit me better than the single piece onebut, again the tone seems fine, albeit that I can only really play it well on slow tunes. It's going to take time, but I have bought Tony Dixon stuff before, and you can't fault the quality for the price.

unplayable ?
while i do not have much experience with low whistles , having only previously played a susato , i found the bottom hole impossible to reach properly on this whistle. A fter some practice i am finding the bottom hole more easy to cover.

LOW D WHISTLE
Tone and tuning OK for price but finish and build quality didn't give me the feeling would stand much gigging.
