These things work pretty well I bought it for my female bird because she is a female of course, and they don’t have the proper UV lights. They can become egg bound when they lay eggs due to lack of the vitamins these lights provide. Make sure you check what animal are you using these for? Don’t mistakenly buy one for reptiles because it’s too strong. They can burn themselves and not get the proper UV vitamin D provide. Make sure it is for a bird. These lights are great. I highly recommend them. But keep an eye because they do expire because the UV runs off the coding of the lightbulb on any type of UB.

Recently had to replace 2 of these. Both arrived on time. Within 15 days, one stopped working. Contacted amazon and was replaced immediately.Working great and birds are happy.

My starlings were not recovering from their molt, and I was late in changing out their bulbs. The birds just moped around the cage. Truthfully, I was leery of using Amazon for lightbulbs, but my local store ran out and I was desperate. I took a chance and bought this. Immediately, my birds perked up. They actually faced the light bulb (usually, they face the opposite direction) and very soon, their molt grew back, with added shine. In all the years I bought lightbulbs, I never witnessed them react so quickly. I will definitely buy this again.

This u v b light is producing the same u.V rays as an arcadia, brand and half the price remember to hang 6to8 inches away from your bird's head . If you go any further, it will not benefit the wavelengths that it needs. And remember to replace every six months, even though it works.It loses strength.

Hoping it will keep working because the light bulb and its box with no packing was tossed into a big box by Amazon with absolutely no packing either. I probably will not buy another one of these on Amazon.

I've not used this supplier's bulb, keep one on hand and change them out annually since they lose strength over time.It looks like this bulb is made for birds specifically, this is good for my parrot.

I don’t know if this is helping my little cockatiel. I think it’s a little bit too far to put it on the ceiling, but I know who really liked are the Yellowjackets in my backyard that are trying to fly in here. In fact, there was four of them on there the other day, and I had to vacuum them up.
