I recently purchased the AQUIVEX CX880XRE Pool Filter Cartridge, and it's been a great addition to my pool maintenance routine. It's compatible with several models, including Hayward SwimClear, which is a plus. The installation was straightforward, and it effectively filters out debris, keeping the pool clean and clear. I'm replacing C4030 filters on my Hayward filter. These are perfect replacements. They fit well, are easy to install (video instructions are easily found on-line) and work like a charm. My only complaint is all the packaging needed to ship these. The filters were inside of a box, which was inside of another box, which was inside yet a third giant box. All that packaging is a waste and not needed. One box would have done just fine. This is not a review issue though and is not reflected in my stars. It's just me rambling and hoping someone will come to their senses on all the unnecessary wasted packaging.My pool service wanted $450 to replace the filters on my unit. Buy them yourself and save the money! These are a great value.

I have used aftermarket pool filter cartridges before and was left disappointed by the poor quality. These AQUIVEX filters are not as nice Hayward OEM, but they are much better than expected especially for the money. The plastic end caps, interior frame, and exterior bands feel substantial enough, as well as the filter media itself. I think these are a good set to have in your pool filter cleaning rotation.

Build QualityThese are well made and have a good pleat count and sturdy bands.UseI used these after my last filter failed, they seemed to work ok but after the pool turned cloudy I called a pool tech to investigate and found that these actually weren't making a good seal and particulate was just passing through either the material or through the gaps with the top and bottom manifolds.Final thoughts:These do not work, I do not recommend.

This is a 4-pack of well-made, pool filter cartridges, which I got to replace our original Hayward SwimClear C4030 filters after a couple of years of heavy use. Our pool guy has also suggested we have a spare set for swapping -- so the power-washed ones have time to dry before reuse -- and this pack serves that purpose as well.I like that the filters fit perfectly, are power-washable for reuse and do an excellent job of filtering the detritus collected in our pool. They easily match the functionality and durability of the much more expensive OEM ones and I would definitely order them when needed again.
