I love variegated thread and I like all kinds and colors of thread, so getting this round box full of thread made my day. I think I have spent the last hour matching up the variegated threads to the solid colors. I have gotten many sets of threads to review for Amazon such as this package of thread and I have bought many sets on my own as well. I have never seen solid and variegated thread in the same package in this quantity. I have seen packs with a large amount of solids but only a few variegate thread spools. But this set is WOW!!! There are three neon yellow, orange, and green spools. Then there are multiple variegated spools that coordinate with the neon solid thread. I have never seen that before. At one point, I was almost juggling a green spool of solid with variegated threads that could be used with that green. I couldn't hold them all. Then I got carried away and did it with a bunch of the other solid colors. Pretty much every solid had more than one variegated coordinating spools of thread. Can you imagine embriodering a sea/ocean scene in blue then adding in a varegated blue and then another solid and another variegated, etc. untill you have some beautiful water and waves and if you want you can add in stitches with your machines as well as seed beads, to get a very gorgeous scene. Or do this with a sunset, a field and many more ideas.These spools are cardboard tubes which I have always had trouble with, as if a bunch of thread falls off the end of the tube, I have never gotten them back on the spool so I had to throw them away. I don't want to have to throw away these great threads. They are also not numbered. They came with plastic strips around them, I assume to keeping them from unspooling. Almost every spool I picked up the plastic immediately fell off. I love the round box, if you use up all your thread or put it on a thread stand, you will have a great storage box for your sewing items. I got a smaller box of the variegated thread about a week ago and got to test it out. I had no problen using it at all, so I'm pretty confident that this thread will be just as good to work with.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this great thread. Thank you.

I was shocked when I got this thread, the images make the box look smaller.If you were to take a basketball and cut off all of the rounded "edges" that would be close to the size of the container that these spools come inI was going through the thread looking at each color when I realized there was a whole row underneath. The top row was all solid colors while the row under it are variegated colors. This is a great set for beginners to start with or for someone to add to their collection.I did some price comparison and I could not find a better deal on the basic thread let alone any with this amount of variety. I even checked the cheap wholesale distributors that take forever to get delivered and none of them offered any type of thread remotely close to this price.I have already used some threaed to hand-sew a few pairs of my sons sweat pants. For some reason, all of his sweatpants had holes in their pockets. This thread was easy to use and it was easy to thread the need without using a needle threader.I would highly recommend this bundle of thread

I love to sew and go through quite a bit of thread, so I thought I would order this set to see if it would replace some of my colors I was low on. Not only does this replace colors I was low on, it gives me a TON of fun new colors to use. This has solid and multi-color thread in a WIDE variety of shades. The spools are really large too, they fill the palm of my hand, and there's a 1000 yds on each spool! Are you kidding me? The thread is also really nice. I've had no issues running it through my old Montgomery Ward sewing machine or my bobbin winder. The box the thread comes in is a fairly solid box, and feels like it will hold up nicely as I go through the thread. Honestly, I'm so pleased and impressed with this and I would 100% recommend it to you!

When you make something big, you don't want to have to switch to a different color of thread halfway through. These spools are big! There is 1,000 yards of thread on each spool! That should be more than enough to complete your DIY project!Another thing to look for is how tightly spun it is. I held a strand up to the light to inspect it for loose threads. A good quality thread will have very few. All thread will have some loose threads fanning out, but a poor quality thread will have a "hot mess" of frizz. When I looked even with magnifying glasses on, I could not see many loose threads, so this is a very good quality product.I have some mending to do this week, both by hand and by sewing machine. That should be enough to get this thread a good workout. I don't expect there to be any problems! If I'm wrong, I will update this review. If I don't post anything else, then rest assured that I still love this package of thread!
