The step works great and is made from some very hefty steel. However if you want to avoid frustration with mounting this to your 2017 Toyota Tacoma Sport I recommend the following procedures:1. Assembly the bracket according to instructions. Leaving the bolts loose.2. Locate the factory bolts on the frame that will be used to mount the bracket and remove them.3. Insert the factory bolts into the bracket mounting holes to keep them aligned.4. Tighten all bracket bolts.5. Mount bracket to frame of truck.6. Mount step.7. Enjoy.If you follow the manufacturers instructions you will not be able to tighten all of the bolts after it is mounted because there is not enough clearance. Follow the steps above and you will be good to go.Hope this helps.

I like this step a lot. The bracket is 3 pieces. The part that attaches to the frame, the pivot arm and the step.The part that attaches to the frame is made of steel. The arm is made from cast aluminum. The step is made of plastic.I haven't had any issues with it and it seems well made. My main gripe is the price. I don't feel that it is worth it considering that only part of it is made of steel. For the price, this better have a lifetime guarantee.

I was using a folding step stool to access the bed of my 2017 Tacoma. This bumper step is well made and I had no problems in installing it on my truck. It works great and stays out of way when not in use. My only complaint is that I think that it is overpriced at $250 +. I could not find anything else comparable at a lower price, so I guess you gotta pay if you want it.

First of all this stuff is almost impossible to install without two people and professional mechanic tools second of all once I got it installed it is the most flimsy step I have ever stayed on it bends down all the way to the point where you are about to fall off of it not only that it is cheap and loose feeling I do not recommend it to anyone spend a little extra money and go with the original from Toyota

Rugged construction. Should last for many years. It took me about 1-1/2 hours to install. Because the mounting bracket was not what was shown on video. It’s not a one piece cast aluminum bracket as shown. It’s two pieces of formed steel. I could not get the two bolt holes that mount the attaching bracket to the frame to align. ( I could not push the two mounting bolts through the bracket. ) FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! After torquing the top and bottom bolts of the mounting brackets. The holes to mount the bracket to the frame DID align. If I had to do this over. I could do it in less than 1/2 an hour.

This worked perfectly on my ‘18 Tacoma OR. It is easy to install and only took about 30 minutes. The top bolt, which attaches to the frame of the truck, was a little difficult to get to but it’s doable. I like the ease of now being able to step into the bed of my truck as oppose to climbing into my truck bed.

A super great upgrade to my 2017 Toyota Tacoma Sport 4x4 Truck. I don't have my walking legs like I used to. This step allowed me to get into the bed of my truck. No ladders, no assistance, etc. Real Quality and great for the grandkids also.

Installed it today. Not the easiest thing I've ever done, but I did it. It works great. I did have to call customer support as I was having problems with the assembly. Had good response from them. Hardest part is bolting to truck. Not much room for bolt installation. But I did it working alone.

Added this to my 2016 Tacoma and love how easy it was to install and how much easier it makes it to enter and exit the bed of the truck for loading and unloading it.
