Kid loved this...and then they saw M3gan.Now it sits in a closet under a blanket.However...until that point, it was a beloved toy.

Fun model to make and play with
The expressions and sound effects are fun, and the kids like to control the RC.After a while, the sound effects can get annoying, so having a sound OFF setting would be appreciated!

Hope you are ready
Wow. I want to ding this kit a star for being so hard to build but for $36 I just can't get over how much value is here. First off the quality of the bricks is top notch. Everything fits well together. The features of this kit and electronics are probably worth closer to $80.But it is a marathon to put together. Trust me I put together the massive Millennium Falcon set and I consider that easer to build. There are a lot of pegs in this deign and you have to have the right touch to make sure they line up and go in. I bought this for a 6yo who is great at other sets but he lasted about 10 mins. I don't think my 11 yo would have faired any better. It's hard. That being said other than taking about 5 hours to build the kit is beautiful. There are a lot of aesthetic details that have nothing to do with structure. It looks more like a toy than a block set when you are done and the controls are pretty good.Take note page 1 is just examples. We spent 10 mins looking for pieces that aren't in the kit until we realized it!I would also recommend to put the stickers on the pieces BEFORE putting everything together.

Requires strong fingers and adult help
Got this for my 9yo, and he had a hard time getting the parts to click into place. Even I as an adult struggled sometimes. It takes a lot of patience, and strong fingers. Putting the parts together once they were big was a challenge to get them to click into place without other parts coming undone. It worked once put together. But, not the easiest thing to assemble.

Quick build without a mute
The set is quick to build, and the instructions are pretty clear, but the main gripe is that the motor box doesn't appear to have a mute function. I'll admit, it's super cute to see the eyes and expression change as you command the toy, but the constant sound is sure to drive most parent nuts. As far as the bricks go, all parts went together easily and held well, and all moving parts were able to function without coming undone or proving to be too tight, and the tread is pretty easy to assemble compared to the smaller ones you typically get with tanks.Overall, I think any child who has one will be happy, and any parent will be sure to silently regret giving it to them until the speaker has died. A solid buy for anyone who enjoys building blocks.
