Preface: I have more clothes than any one person (or ten) should have. I solved some of the problem a few years ago by buying the tallest Ikea Pax closet. That, however created another problem: I had to stretch as far as I could, sometimes jumping, in order to reach the top clothes bar, and I am already 6' tall. Recently, I needed to add two more pull-out drawers to it, raising the clothes bars and exacerbating the reaching problem. I needed a step stool but everything I was finding was either short (6" or less) or appeared too unstable. I finally found this. It had great reviews. After building it, I was even more impressed. It is incredibly sturdy, the non-slip feet give me confidence hanging or removing the highest clothes, tall enough that I no longer have to leap, and the wood looks custom-chosen to blend with my heart pine floors. I could not be happier! Extra perk: it is a great size to sit on for putting on shoes.

Ten minutes, tops. I found a drill bit that matched the allen wrench that came with this product, so it was much easier to put together. The pieces are solid and sturdy. I feel comfortable standing on this step-stool, and I'm not supposed to fall again. But I'm short, and I can't reach most of my upper kitchen cabinets.The grandkids get tired of being called to the kitchen to reach something for me. I'm not too sorry for them. They broke my "grab it" tool! But this stool does help me to reach things while the kids are in school. It looks nice, too. I had a bright pink plastic step stool, but I didn't like the ant-acid color that made me a bit sick just looking at it. This step stool looks like it belongs here. It matches up with my other furniture just fine. If you're under-tall, you might find this stepping aid a great handy helper, too!

This stepstool is perfect! It’s incredibly sturdy, supporting up to 500 pounds, and the build feels solid. I use it for my high bed and in the kitchen, but it’s great for the bathroom or closet too. Works for adults, kids, or the elderly—such a versatile piece. Highly recommend!

When assembled, this is sturdy enough to stand on. However, assembly is not "right out of the box" because the pre-drilled holes in the wooden top do not match the hole pattern on the metal frame. Fortunately I had access to a hand drill to add holes in the appropriate location, but if the manufacturer is going to drill holes, why not drill them in the correct locations?I was planning to give this four stars, but really, why not drill the holes correctly? Three stars.Recommended but only if you are prepared to do a little more than simple assembly.

Somehow feels like it could be more sturdy but I’m trusting it to hold my 230lbs, so far so good. Be gental with the wood screws that secure the platform to the frame. They strip the wood easily.

I really love this step stool. I have a large pantry and it can just sit in the floor in there so I can use quickly to get to the upper shelf.No folding required!!This was really easy to assemble, only to a few minutes. It looks great and it's very great quality. Very sturdy!! I even jumped on it to check the stability and weight. It's the perfect height for me to reach the top shelf!!
