This crawler is following the trend of near hobby grade models and does a pretty good job. The model does have a partially metal frame and very realistic drive train and suspension system. This model uses a brushed motor, so it doesn't have the torque of a brushless type. That means that although it's fun and capable of a lot of off-road terrain and flowerbed crawling, it's not on the same level as a high-end hobby grade one. The other thing is that the turning radius isn't exactly the best for tight turns and switch backs other models can handle. That said the throttle and proportional steering are fine enough to allow for some fun driving especially if you're into FPV. This lets me easily fit my camera to the hood for some fun first person off-roading in the dry creek bottom near me. The lights really look awesome, and the model looks realistic enough to almost look real from a bit of a distance. I do wish they included a second battery pack, but fortunately I have a couple of others with the same off type generic connector, just make sure to check polarity of the plug wiring if doing the same. I've always had a soft spot for the Humvee style bodies and this is a great addition to any fans collection.

The media could not be loaded. My son wanted a 4x4 to hook a snow plow up to it. Got it and made a 3D printed plow for him to use on it. Battery is good, metal frame is awesome.

Terrific little starter truck at 90$ price point. My 7 year old has put many hours on it and no breakage so far. The tie rods and steering are plastic rods, so breakage is inevitable, but if your child doesn't ram things full speed should last a while.Edited - so the driveshafts are metal, however the transfer case gears and axles are plastic, they do sell a replacement set, and after a couple months of use we had to buy a 2nd set, removing one star for poor design.

Surprisingly heavy duty rc which is exactly what you want in a rock crawler.

This thing looks pretty cool. But... It won't go through grass at all. Strictly for pavement, gravel hard pack dirt or carpet. Kinda dissapointed.
