I got this product for free, the following is my honest and unbiased review.When visiting my daughter, I often enjoy the free hot beverages in her apartment common area. Recently they stopped giving out paper cups, so I needed to find an insulated drinking cup. This Milton Travel Coffee Mug is nicely finished with a classic handle. It comes with a clear plastic lid with a sealing gasket, a flip-top sipper lid, and a rubber air relief valve. A clear plastic straw is included, for cold drinks. Despite the gasketed lid, it will still leak out liquid when the mug is inverted, so the lid is really just to guard against splashes.I tested this mug by filling it with 185 degree F hot water and closing the lid. After 1 hour, using an instant-read thermometer, the water temperature was 160 degrees F. After the second hour it was 143 degrees F. After the third hour it was 130 degrees F, and after the fourth hour it was 120 degrees F - still plenty hot after 4 hours of sitting (with the lid on and closed) on the kitchen table. Nice.This item is a bit more costly than other similar insulated cups, but it has that classic coffee mug vibe.

This is a very nice mug, a good size, and has a reasonably thin rim that makes drinking straight out of the mug (as opposed to using the straw) a little more enjoyable than some of the other ceramic or metal mugs that are generally available. The finish is beautiful and has a classy feel to it. The insulation is reasonable, but it is not the best. I have used this mainly for drinking coffee which I had hoped would remain hot for longer than it actually does in this mug. In my opinion, heat/cold retention is only a little better than mugs that don’t have any insulation at all. But to be fair, that is the case with practically all insulated mugs that one drinks out of with an open top!

This cup is the perfect size, has a nice simple style, and does a sufficient job in keeping drinks hot or cold.The lid is really good quality. The plastic feels nice, if you know what I mean - it doesn't feel cheap, sharp, thin, or weak. And I can tip the cup upside down and not lose one drop.The handle is comfortable to me, and the cup has a nice weight.The description on Amazon says "dishwasher safe", but the bottom of the cup says "handwashing recommended", so that's a bit confusing. I suppose handwashing helps the longevity, but dishwashing isn't all bad? I got this for my college kid, so it will be hand washed in the dorm anyway, so it's really not a concern for us. He got a Keurig and needs a cup that fits under it instead of the taller tumblers he took with him. So that's another advantage of the size of this cup.In summary, this really is a very nice cup. I definitely recommend it and don't really want to hand it over to my son. :)

Its a good mug which I use for hot coffee most of the time & it keeps it hot for a long time. Like the design for straw as well if you are having cold drinks in it.There are some things I don't like too much about this:Since its vacuum sealed, if you have to close the lid you need to keep one of the orange flaps open, close the lid & then close the flaps. Else you cant close the lid because the air cant escape out when you press the lid in.When you drink from it, you need to keep the small straw flap open too else the drink wont come out of the cup properly.The handle is very thin material so its not very comfortable to hold while drinking.Even with these drawbacks I mentioned above I still like it & use it everyday because the quality is very good as expected from Milton.
