Q: Does it have a bottom to the tent or not?

No, it doesn't have a bottom . But, it's awesome without one. My Grandson loves his, he calls it his fort. Boys love forts and their privacy. Also has pockets, he uses these for his Switch ,toys, etc. You'll love it!!😁😁

Q: Can the tent retain heat? If I throw a fleece blanket over it, is it sturdy enough to not collapse?

I think a fleece blanket would be heavy

It's relatively easy. It is a floor-standing design, and the four directions are flexible. It fits easily without lifting the whole mattress.

All very standards, the full size tent is 75" x 54" x 47"H, fits US full size bed
