Another Great Read in the Army Doctor series
Yet another enjoyable and heart-felt story within the Army Doctor series. Having read them all thus far, and in order, this one brought back memories of the first three books in the series. Not because the topics or the people were the same, in fact they are extremely different in regard to family, location and situations, but because the story was so strong and well written. There is great strength in this book as well as great enjoyment. An easy read that covered so many important and moving topics in quite depth and yet still had a wonderful heart-felt hold about it throughout. The revelations which came about about the MacKenzie parents was not fully unexpected, but why it arose is a bit. The strength of the two oldest MacKenzie brothers relationship is revealed to a greater depth, and the stories of their youth and growing up add more to each character within the story as well as to the history of the MacKenzie family, Lorna, their youth and long ago history which brings about a greater understanding for several individuals. This is a wonderful novel which is hard to out down.

A Lovely Romantic Series
This series is beautifully romantic. The main characters often have issues from their childhoods that haven't been dealt with, but the family in the first half of the series is strong and supports it's members. The second family has problems dating back many years, which need to be sorted out, before their future can be assured.I love the main characters in each story. They made me want to buy the next book, so I could continue my exploration of their lives. Lovely stories that touch the heart.I'm hoping that the remaining Scottish brother, who is not in the military, gets a book as well. I'd like to know how he and his son get on.

The Army Doctor's Honeymoon Baby (The Army Doctor's Baby Series #6)
Here is a different type of story line. It deals with Blair who is a couple of years younger than Lorna his childhood friend/love. He is in the military and she works in third world with children. When the story opens up they are working together to help children heal and are kidnapped by opposing forces. While this is going on she admits to him she loves him. When they get back home to Scottland is where the angst comes in to play. I enjoyed reading this story in "The Army Doctor's Baby Series" and plan on getting them all.

Old secrets - New Problems
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. Major Blair Mackenzie, a proud Scottish pediatrician and his childhood friend, nurse Lorna Bell are working together in a challenging situation where warring African factions are imminent. They are captured by rebels and thrown together in a very risky environment. The story continues with both Blair and Lorna having to face complex issues that complicate their lives. In order to pursue their love, they must confront the past, so that they can continue their journey together. The author does an excellent job of portraying two people who have loved each other for a very long time.

and have kept their deep respect and love hidden for years
With her touch of magic, Helen Scott Taylor does it again, bringing us into the world of the Mackenzie's of Scotland: army doctors and nurses -- this time with an exciting beginning on the battlefield. Lorna and Blair Mackenzie were childhood friends, and have kept their deep respect and love hidden for years. Kidnapped by rebels to "cure" their doctor, a captured Frenchman, Blair has to help the rebels while protecting Lorna. Back home in Scotland, at Kindrogan, the unveiling of a family secret threatens their love. Totally enjoyable. A wonderful read.

Action-packed, fast-paced
Action-packed from the get-go! What I like most about Ms.Taylor's Army Doctor's Baby Series is her uncanny skill in using exactly the right words to tell her story. Hence she can paint a strong character portrait in just a few strong sentences. She sets the scene and describes the emotional atmosphere in much the same way. Her fast-pace moving from Africa to Scotland kept my interest peaked until the final page. I've read all the books in this series and definitely recommend you do the same!

a lovely romance!
I so enjoyed this book, I plan to go back and get the others in this series. The writing is wonderful, the characters intriguing and the storyline different from a lot of my current reading. This is a sweet romance with some danger, background secrets coming to light and a view of army life and medicine I haven't read before. Brava to Helen Scott Taylor! Thanks for the wonderful read.
