Seven OceanS® Emergency food rations sea

Brilliant product. Looked in my Purchase History and I'd bought this box back in April 2018. I thought I'd better check it's still in date. Date was 2023. Today is Sep 2025! So I cracked it open to eat rather than waste - the product is absolutely perfect! Can't believe it really - over 7 years and still tastes perfect. (Reminds me of 'Farely's Rusks' flavour - remember those?). Would definately recommend, and reordering next batch for the next 7 years stash today !

Tastes a lot better than i expected, its like a wheat, malt and soy biscuit, a bit too sweet for my taste, but great not just for emergency. Actually 2 tablets made me full and they have equivalent energy to a lunch, so its perfect and very compact plus they have vitamins and iron too. I bought it to test them if they are good for my bug-out emergency bag and i have to say they are perfect for it, will surely buy more, never know when you need them. there is a saying: Better have it and don't need it, than need it and not have it. Highly recommended emergency food, quality made in Norway. You should not eat more than 6 tablets (there are 2 tablets per inner pack, total of 9 inners) the 6 tablets (3 inner packs) have 834 calories, that may be enough when sitting at home or on a boat, but not when being on move on foot or for wilderness survival, coz in these situation you will need a lot more energy than that.

These are great. Having eaten some, they are a little powdery. Which I suspect would affect your thirst if these were all that was available in an emergency, (hence only 4 stars). But they taste OK, and if I was starving, I'd be very happy to have them!

I bought this product from Amazon among several others from mountain-gear shops to test them, as I will be going on fieldwork in a rural remote setting for a few months and thought I should have something as an emergency. This packet came in an air-sealed container with an expiration date of 2023 - much better packed than everything else I've seen. It felt heavy for its small size (500gms). I opened the air-seal and found an additional plastic waterproof seal - I guess this is good in case the packet gets wet somehow. Then I found 18 square/rectangular "biscuit-cakes", in twos in some sort of paper wrapping. So, in terms of packaging, they were quite safe. Taste and use: I've taken them to work and for the past three days I've replaced my lunch with 4 biscuit-cakes at a time, and I kept going just fine till dinner 6 hours later. I know they're not supposed to be used like this and have smaller servings, but I was curious to see if they'd keep me working as usual, and not just sat motionless. They did the job alright, but make sure you have lots of water as they're super-condensed or something. In terms of taste, they taste like flour and sugar with some sort of oily by-taste (coconut oil? palm oil? no idea) - but it was better than expected. All in all, a good purchase.

Wrapping: The wrapping is great and perfect to protect the biscuits from the elements. First is the cardboard box, next is the silver wrapping, next clear plastic wrapping, and finally each of the biscuits is individually wrapped in paper. Very well done. Taste: They taste a bit like bland Scottish shortbread, so not a bad taste at all. Value: Excellent value for money. You can split each "bar" into two small squares to limit yourself or share if needed. In a nutshell, a very good buy! Handy for anything from mountain treks, sailing expeditions, fishing, or just driving a long distance.

when eaten dry they are VERY gritty with granulated sugar and almost too sweet. I bought these hoping it was similar to the oatmeal block you used to get in the army ration packs - my dad used to bring them home after exercise and i loved them. They look the same colour (waxy white) but dont taste the same, very bland. They come close to the old ratpack oatmeal block when you mix them with a bit of hot water to make a porridge - it tastes very similar then. It's completely vegetarian - veg fat, milled oats, sugar, wheat flour. The small square biscuits hold their shape well and dont crumble to bits while you eat them. My advice, break a couple up into the last bit of your cuppa tea - stodgy and warming, nice pudding after a day's hike.

Hi. After watching many various reviews on line and on you tube I decided to try these out and all i can say is yummy. I don't know why so many people say that these are bland and give you constipation, they taste great and i had trouble not to over do it 🤣. I had one section in the morning, a lunchtime small meal and then another section to replace the evening meal and repeated this for three days and i think in an emergency situation they are excellent. They taste like shortbread with a little salt and sugar, you need to have a drink with them or chew them longer than normal (i tried both ways) perfect and filling. A bug out or in must have in my opinion. I'll be buying more!.

Article totalement conforme à la description. Les biscuits sont bien fermés. J'ai testé le gout: ils sont assez bon je dois dire, très légèrement sucré et farineux en fait. Après, je n'ai pas la capacité de vous dire combien de temps je pourrais tenir avec ces gâteaux. La recette est basique, d'après les ingrédients ils sont fait de farine, de graisse végétal ( palme), de sucre et de vitamine C, B1 , B6 avec un peu de lait et du soja

The entire package contains 9 wraped packages of which each contain two small bars. They have a sugary sweet taste with a hit of grains. Though they are solid, as soon as you take a bite they fall apart like a powder. Very good to eat. Make sure you have something to drink to go along with this. Makes it easier to swallow. My package said it was manufactured 31 of March 2022 and was due to expire on 26 September 2027. Thats about 5,5 years and pretty good shelf life, but compared to competitors, it's actually rather short. Either way, they taste great, so worth having some in your kit.

Lecker, macht aber nicht sooo satt wie erwartet. Trotzem sehr zufriedenstellend. Der geschmack ist wie der von Keksen, die Notverpflegung ist jedoch sehr bröselig. Für den Preis und vor allem für die haltbarkeit sehr zu Empfehlen! Wenn man jeden Monat 2 solche Pakete kauft, hat man nach 4 Monaten genug um damit gut einen Monat durch zu kommen, falls es wirklich mal hart auf hart kommt. Die größe der Pakete ist etwa die von zwei Zigarettenschachteln .. glaub ich (bin kein raucher) PS: Viel trinken nicht vergessen!

Schmeckt gut und süß. Macht schnell satt. Daher für den Notfall oder unterwegs gut geeignet. Das einzige was stört ist, dass es ziemlich krümelt. Ich habe allerdings keinen Vergleich zu anderer Notfallnahrung.
