These triggers work out of the box with both of my studio strobes and Sony camera. As I brought the 2 pack, the set has two transmitters, both with plastic tabs inserted to prevent battery drain. A negative is the transmitter cannot be turned off when not in use and there is no way to replace the battery in the transmitter. You can reinsert the tabs to prevent drain when not in use; but don’t lose the small clear tab. I will save the second transmitter for later use. The receivers use two AAA batteries which are not supplied. I did not test out 16 channel combination other than use the settings out of the box. For my studio set up works, this trigger combination works fine.

Unit works great with an Alien Bees strobe. Haven't tried it with the manufacturers strobe because I've had 2 bad strobes from them in a row.Thinking of potentially picking up one more of these remotes to see if they can be paired to fire 2 strobes simultaneously.Great price I might add. If your looking for something that works right out of the box and is affordable give it a shot.
