Ok, but not quite what I hoped....
This weed wicker probably operates within it's design parameters, and is ok, but not great. It looks like a hockey stick. The wick is on the paddle part, at the bottom, You invert the stick and unscrew the stopper at the end of the paddle, you then fill with the weed killer of choice. If you use a concentrate you then fill with water, as noted on the shaft. You cannot take the wick off to replace, or if you can it will be very difficult to do so. The wick works best when the paddle is full. However, when it empties to about an inch or so above the blade it does not work well and the wick does not seem to be able to keep itself wet enough to do much good. I am trying to kill wild onions in my lawn. Apparently they must be very difficult to kill because i used more concentrated Roundup than suggested by the round up instructions or the red weeder instructions. I applied then 2 days later applied again. Now a week later about 10% to 20% of the onions appear to have some brown stems/blades. Not too effective in my opinion. Part of the problem seems to be when the weed killer runs less than about 1/3 full on the transparent shaft, the wick does not pull enough weed killer through to do much good. However it could be that onions need some other type of weed killer, or these are hell's angels of the onion world...I think you could make your own weed wicker and do better. Would not buy again. Probably will try to make my own.

Takes a little patience
It takes time to evaluate this product as one has to wait for the results to appear, in my car using it to treat POA TRIVALIS in my lawn. I can now say that it works as advertised however it may take 2 or 3 attempts spread out over several weeks. It is more effective if one "tamps it down" instead of lightly swinging across the weeds in the lawn.It takes about 5 minutes or more for the herbicide to leak to the bottom surface that comes in contact with the weeds.

Sponge head design poor. Leaks chemical.
No way to stop flow of chemicals except to tilt sponge head up which allows chemical to leak onto handle area. Would not recommend

just use it
when I finally used this--it was like a miracle-- I needed to kill weeds in my asparagus patch after the asparagus was producing. I couldn't even tell when I had applied enough--but it worked extremely well--just made sure not to touch the new asparagus

Way too expensive and did not work.
Too bulky and did not work well. It killed grass, but not the other weeds. Those just got spots for a bit and then kept on growing. I used Round-up and followed the directions.
