Definitely the best in this price range. Genuine review.
Its has been a week since I am owning this Taotronics TT-BH040. To say the long story short, it is definitely one of the best sounding headphones. Noise cancelling is working very well. Bass is very good (at the best level and not overpowering). Mids and Highs are good too. If you are in a dilema with the bigger brands like Bose, Sony, Sennheiser please read the COMPARISON part below. I might help you decide as I had been in a dilema too for a few weeks before buying and comparing my TT headphones :). Sony and Bose definitely have bigger volume and sound at the best even at the max volume but practically we won't listen to that much volume. So my tests were at an optimum volume on my TT and on all the headphones I tested. Now for the complete review. I was initially on to buying a Sony or a Sennheiser. Then I came across a few in Amazon and I thought I will give a try.First I bought the August 650 headphones. It was very well sized, sounded really good but the main problem with that was the sound leakage. Anyone nearby would hear each and every beat. Also the bluetooth light was flashy. So in case if you are using in a dark room, the bluetooth light would light the room which would be annoying to others. I was not ok with the sound leakage and the bluetooth bright flash lighting. So I returned it.Then I bought the Mpow Bluetooth Over Ear Headphones Hi-fi Stereo Wireless Headset (dono the model no. It is the one with red and black accent. But I got the pink one for my wife). It sounded really good. Very good bass and battery was also great. It looked a bit plasticy in my opinion. It was comfortable. Hope it lasts. My wife liked as it was pink so I didnt return :)Then I bought this TT-BH040 (even though TT-BH22 had better reviews than this, this looked more premium and I wanted to give a try). Man, I should say that I made a right choice. Looked very premium, superb finishing, very soft padding. Sound leakage was very minimal (definitely much lesser than August 650). I recharged as soon as I opened and I havnt recharged after that till now.About the sound, I just wanted to make sure I made the right choice.COMPARISON : I tried the same song played at the same volume from my phone with all the below headphones. I went to a nearby store with my TT-BH040 and tried on different headphones for the comparison. Tried a couple of top of the line headphones to see where my TT headphone stands. My point of view on the headphones I tested are as follows.COMPARISON WITH BOSE: Bose QC II 35 is the one I tried. It is definitely very light (you wont know you are wearing them). But apart from that the sound and noise cancelling was very very close. May be a very tiny bit more for the Bose but I would say that you will have to pay almost 7 times more than TT headphone. At least for me I was not ready for that investment when I get a very close match at 40 pounds.COMPARISON WITH SONY:SONY WH-1000XM3 - Definitely comfortable than TT but lesser than the above Bose model. But the sound and noise cancellation is almost close enough. I felt the bass is very good in the TT than the Sony (sounded a little more muddier). Again as I said for Bose, I would go for TT for the price.SONY WH-CH700N - Lighter than TT but the pads were more comfortable on the TT than this Sony model. Sounds and NC were definitely a little better in the TT. TT can be folded but this Sony model cannot be.Sony MDR XB650BT - Just for the price point and since it is Sony I just wanted to try this one. TT is over the ear and this Sony model in on ear (I preferred over the ear). No NC for this model. Sound is very much the same (a little more bass in the Sony but it is a very little difference). TT can be folded but this Sony model cannot be.COMPARISON WITH SENNHEISER:Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC - Firstly I couldn't test this with my phone as the demo piece was connected to an audio device in the store. I didn't feel comfortable wearing it as it was resting on my ear rather than over the ear. Sound and NC were great but a little less than the Sony and Bose. With comparison to TT, TT had a better bass. Others were almost the same.I am very much satisfied with my purchase. Thanks to Taotronics for such a wonderful headphone. I take care of my things very carefully (not tossing my phone or headphones around). So I hope it would last long as I would expect. Even though they gave a hard case, I use it only when I want to store my headphones in a bag. But as of now, for a week, I am wearing around my neck :)If you have read so far, thanks to you too for reading my review :). Go for it. It is definitely worth for all your hard earned money :).

Brilliant!
What a god sent! I used it to fly to Canada and back. In both cases, not only the headphones drowned out the roaring of engines but also the screams of the young children on board. It comes with a 3.5mm cable if you are worried about battery life (I still have not recharged them) or if you need to plug into the onboard media screen. They are comfy and can wear them for hours without my ears or head hurting (8 hours on the way back as I wore them to get to sleep as well).PS: Nobody paid me or gave me anything for this review. I am just giving credit where credit is due.

Great sounds at an even greater price
After a bad experience with another set of no-name noise cancellers, I went out and bout a £300 set of Oppo PM3's. Now, the Oppos deliver some awesome detail, but no being NC that's lost on a noisy train, right. I decided to give the budget end one last try and got these after research. So glad I did.Yes, it lacks some detail at the lower range. Build quality seems good, but I really wont know until I have had them for 3-6 months (the time frame my last budget ones disintegrated at).Yes, the NC function is only OK (but at this price what did you expect...Bose NC?) Bass is not as deep as some might wish, but defo there and really good in any event. Mid-range is very satisfying and it manages to navigate most genres of music well. What really surprised me was what it took to distinguish these and my Oppos. In a quiet room you will pick up on the missing detail immediately, but on a noisy street or on public transport, I actually think they are very close. For a £50, the Tao Tronics are sensational value for money and are highly recommended, subject to them lasting!!!!Treated as respectfully as I will, if they last me more than a year at this price and frequency of use, I will be delighted. Fingers crossed!

I only wish my hearing was as good as these headphones are.....
High quality, comfortable and easy to use. This set comes in a great carry case, inside an extremely 'giftable' box. It comes with a USB charging cable, a 3.5mm Aux audio cable and it even has an adaptor for in flight airline use. The battery charge lasted me three days and has a stated playtime of 30 hours. Bluetooth connection is simple, very stable and has never failed yet. It has a built in microphone for use with a phone, but I have never used this so I can't really comment. The sound quality is as good as anything I have ever come across and the noise cancelling function is the best I have ever experienced. Although slightly heavier that most I have used, this set is very comfortable to wear and completely encapsulated my ears. The control buttons are easily accessed, have a good positive action and are far enough apart to be easily distinguished. The only slightly negative thing that I could possibly mention is that I needed a wee break every so often (probably not a bad thing) just to let my ears cool down. This was not heat generated by the headset, but just a slight build up from having my ears enclosed.
