iFixitTesa 61395 Tape - 2 mm

First time repairing a tablet screen. I heard this stuff was preferable over the liquid adhesive so I gave it a shot. I did use a heat gun around the edges of the screen after sealing, as I read that is how the strong bond forms.About a month later and the tablet screen is still holding solid.Great buy, and glad to have this on-hand for my next random repair.

My Moto G Power (2021) battery started inflating while I was on a trip to a high altitude destination. The back peeled off and I was getting worried that the battery might burst before I could get it home!Anyway, when I returned from the trip, I ordered a replacement battery, which came with some nice tools and some double-sided tape. The new battery worked like a charm, but the tape? Not so much. The back of the phone did not want to stay on.After doing some research, I learned that Tesa tape is the pro solution. And once the product arrived, I carefully stripped off the old crappy tape, scrubbed the phone back and chassis with isopropyl alcohol, and laid down the Tesa tape on the back. I then carefully fit the back of the phone on, and used our kitchen vacuum sealer to apply and maintain even pressure on the phone for an hour or two.And the phone is now indistinguishable from factory fresh. Nice!

Designed very well, relatively easy to use, getting the second tape covering is a bit difficult but not too bad as once you grab it, it comes off easy. The adhesion is very very high strength. And very thin tape that'll allow you to stick something down with little added thickness.

Been searching and testing for the best double sided tape for cell phone repair and concluded Tesa tape is the best!
