I'm convinced that HP has added some kind of voodoo magic to their power bricks
I'm serious. The power supply for my Spectre will only work if I've unplugged and replugged everything in the proper sequence. Out using the laptop, bring it back & plug it in. Right?Oh, no no no, my friend, that power supply that came from the factory must have taken a stray shot from an excited yokai curse as it was coming out of the factory because it is not behaving even remotely like a dependable piece of equipment that I need to use.And that brings us to here.A dependable, working power supply that will work after I unplug the laptop for a few minutes then plug it back in. Hallelujah!Seriously, this a great power supply. Does the job for a fair price. Can't do much better than that.

Potentially dangerous!
I have an HP Pavilion Gaming 15, the laptop this is supposed to work with, but when I plug in this charger it severely throttles my CPU. When unplugged, it operates at around 2.2GHz. When plugged in with a working charger it turbos to 3.2Ghz, but when I plug in this charger it drops to 0.4GHz and the laptop becomes unresponsive and unusable. It does technically charge the laptop, but it's a gaming laptop, so it needs to operate while plugged in, which isn't possible with this charger. Every input takes a few seconds to register and it constantly freezes. Moreover, I'm worried why the CPU laptop is throttling in the first place. I assume it is trying to protect itself from a bad power source, similar to thermal throttling, so this might be unsafe to use.Either way it's $30 down the drain. It's frustrating since HP doesn't sell official replacements, so we're stuck with sketchy chargers like this.

Good price and worked great for us.
Exactly what was needed for an older generation computer for our grandson to use. New power supply and new battery. All he needs for a while--maybe for a long time. Inexpensive and much less cost than buying a new computer that wouldn't do much more.

This charger doesn't work
It's a scam. This thing charges you computer for one second and then doesn't work. Complete garbage. I got this today and I am already asking for my refund in under a half hour
