While my daughter does own the authentic version of this wand from a theme park visit, that isn't a wand that's easily played with as it's easy to break and hard to replace.When I ordered this wand, I was hoping for something similar but wasn't expecting anything entirely passable as a replacement. Material-wise, I got exactly what I expected. This wand is much lighter and uses more economical materials than the other wand, but the list price of $24 reflects that, and the quality isn't poor by any standard. The wand itself is lighter in color than the original but looks extremely similar, so much so that it is completely passable when not sitting side-by-side with the park wand. That impressed both of us a lot.The wand isn't indestructible, but it will handle regular pre-teen cosplay just fine, and if it's dropped, we don't have to worry about damaging it. It certainly might get damaged with a fall, but it's much easier to replace from a budget and access standpoint.Additionally, while the leaf pattern isn't as smooth as my daughter's other wand, it's still comfortable to hold and "cast spells," which makes it perfect for her to use for costume parties or reenactment with friends.The wand also comes in a wonderful display box that makes for a perfect gift presentation or safe storage.All-in-all, a great purchase that adds to a realistic looking costume or play effect.

Our family ended up having a shortage of wands last Halloween and my daughter ended up using a wooden chopstick because she liked the look and feel of wood over plastic. This is the kind of wand that she would really love to get, but her older brother will be the lucky recipient this Christmas.I love the little booklet it comes with. I wish I had that kind of cheat sheet when I was studying charms, but my children will have better.I got the "Shell" version of the wand. It looks gorgeous. I wonder what kind of technology they have that helps them make these carved wooden wands at such an affordable price, but I'm not complaining. I love the one we got. It's just the right size, and it looks so pretty. The case is nice too, as is the acrylic display stand.Overall, I'm simply thrilled with it. And I'm grateful to live in a time when we can order wands on Amazon without making the muggles be too suspicious. It gives the owls a break.

This is a very pretty wand. I love that it's solid wood. I really like the engraved design on the end. Not only is it beautifully detailed, but it's very comfortable in the hand. It has a nice balance to it. The way it's displayed in the box is very nicely done. You can keep it in the box or use the little stands that come with it, to set it out. It's a good quality wand. It would be a wonderful gift...but I got this for ME :) The details are just gorgeous and the color is outstanding. Excellent wand!

According to the Wizarding World website, my perfect wand is chestnut with a unicorn tail hair core but since I can't seem to find one like that, I ordered this one. Unlike the high end (*read: expensive*) official HP wands you buy at the theme park, these are actually wood. I am really impressed by the quality of the carving and the stain. The presentation box is also absolutely beautiful. It is heavy and looks like leather with embossed gold foiling on the lid and is lined with a velvety material and a wide silky ribbon. It also comes with a little plastic display stand and a "Beginner's Guide to Spells" (just in case you don't know how to use a magic wand). It would make a great gift for any Potterhead in your life - or even for yourself, if you believe in magic. Now, if I could only Accio! the TV remote, I'd be one happy Muggle-born witch.

I got the color/design cloud for my 15 year-old brother. The packaging blew me away, it's so beautiful and well made! The holder for the wand is made of super sturdy plastic as well.The wand itself is amazing, it feels super well made. It's not to heavy or too light, and fits perfect in your hands. The design is absolutely beautiful as well!Overall, this wand is more than worth the money in my opinion. It's well made, and the packaging really adds to the experience!

I admittedly know that this is not a usual gift for someone, but I know my daughter is going to love it as one of her Christmas Gifts. She loves things that appear to be back during a time of witches, goblins, spells, potions, and lotions. She has very intricate and detailed sections of her room with items of a similar nature. I know this Wizard Wand will fit right into one of her collections and she is going to love it! It's well-made and comes in a great presentation box. Recommend.
