Loved the pocket size

I bought the standard version a couple of years ago and the deluxe last week. The deluxe I bought more for my studies (eyes aren't what they used to be) and you can see the detail so much better. Shuffling with the deluxe is an issue - they are huge and complete works of art to me. The standard are decent for shuffling. It is a beautiful deck and reading the correspondence between them illuminated their dynamic while creating the deck (not included here). Packed with different mythologies, symbols and correspondences from Western esoteric traditions. This is the formula of the New Eon which began in 1904 with the reception of The Book of the Law. i recommend along with The Book of Thoth you also purchase Understandimg Thoth Tarot by Lon Milo Duquette.

The deck is of good quality, but the cards are with terrible meanless pictures and bad color. Not to mention not the absence of any relation to the meaning, according to the book , accompanied them. Meanless triangles and squares.

I'm a Thoth Fan, I have the original Thoth pack, the first release (it came in a white box), but they have a green hue to the colours and with poor printing came poor clarity, the next release was the Blue AGM Muller 1 with the Magus card on the right of a dark blue pack, then came the AGM Muller 2 with the Magus card now placed in the centre on the again dark blue pack, both of these lack clarity in the pictures again and are a little darker and muddier than the newer U.S games cards.There are 2 U.S Games boxes, one with the Knight of Swords riding his horse on the front and the U.S games box with the 2 of Disks on the front, they are the most modern cards released and although I can't understand why there are 2 different looking boxes they are the same cards, believe me, I have bought both in deluxe size from Amazon. They are both equally great card stock, have gorgeous vibrant colours and for the first time since the older type releases, the clarity has been digitally enhanced in the printing, bringing out the fantastic detail in the cards that were in the original paintings by Freida Harris, that is more of a blur in the older packs.Don't be fooled by reading the forums, there is nothing to be gained by getting older editions, the printing when held up to the newer cards is night and day, you really see things clearly, almost like when you got your first HD TV, don't eBay for older packs like some people recommend on forums, either get the box with the Knight of Swords (the guy riding the horse) on the front, or the box with the 2 of Disks (the 2 swirls one over the other) on the front, they are the BEST Thoth cards you can buy !!
