I'm still on the fence, but I'm considering a small EV car for local use. I do not trust an EV on a trip! It's an hour round trip to go to town on a good day, and hour and a half or more when the tourons (tourist morons) are out in force. There is ---ONE--- EV charger in town! Located in a restaurant parking lot, it often has a waiting line (!) for charging. There's no way I'm sitting in a restaura nt parking lot for hours on end waiting for the battery to charge, so a home charger is the only viable solution. There are bigger and faster chargers, but this one, at 32 amps, will charge an EV over night. It is well made, and it is definitely sturdy! It is light enough to call it portable, too, and it comes with a nice carry bag. What's not portable is the power plug. If there is no mating socket where you're going, you are about to be stranded! This looks like a good bet for home charging!

It's important to use trusted brands for electric car chargers. This is a known brand and has ETL listing so I am comfortable using it for my Chevy Volt. I had an electrician install a 240V outlet in my garage to charge my car and this works well for me.

Effective. Works well. Easy to install as long as you have the infrastructure to plug in/install a level 2 charger. It is portable but wherever you take it needs the infrastructure to use it though. Works to charge a BMW 330e hybrid.

I’m using this charger to charge my Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6. Also a Toyota Prius. It charges fast at 32 amp, installed a 40 amp circuit and worked great.
