Spigen Slim Armor Pro Designed for Pixel 9 Pro Fold Case (2024) [Hinge Protection] - Black

Not the thinnest case around by a long shot, but it provide excellent protection all around including the hinge spine. As thick as it is, I've also had no issue with wireless charging. I even applied a magsafe ring to the back to make it compatible with magsafe chargers and car mounts. Works great! This isn't the case that I rock day to day, but when I do any outdoor activities, I switch to this and and I don't have to worry. It also seems to fit well enough that I don't even use the adhesive strips. It's thick in all the right place for protection and curvy in the right places for excellent ergonomics. It's far easier to hold than it's bulk would suggest.

I literally never write reviews...I had to for this one. Like every other negative review on here, it is 100% accurate & the positive reviews must literally be paid for. This front plate adhesive is laughable at best. I almost squeezed my screen protector off the edges trying to apply pressure for minutes at a time trying to give this thing my best effort to stick. It never did but when I got it as stuck as I could, I tried opening the fold and the hinge immediately snapped the front plate right off again. Then on top of which, the additional adhesive strips....why? how?

I've used Spigen cases on my phones for years. They are normally a very reputable brand with good, long lasting products.Unfortunately, I can't say this case is one of those products. Within a month of having it on my phone the top of the screen protector came off due to the adhesive strip not adhering to the phone, and you can forget about replacing these strips are even with using tweezers they are too small to be able to properly adhere where you need them.A month after that is when I noticed the bottom of the case starting to literally peel, as some reviewers have stated.Save yourself the coinage and buy a different case.

I bought this when the phone launched, I haven't had any warping issues, or the adhesive coming loose. But the part of the case bumper started peeling back within a month. I added one little drop of super glue, seems to have solved it for now. But I shouldn't have to be gluing together a premium case for a very expensive phone. Hopefully nothing else comes loose. The pros are that it does give full protection to the hinge, and edges. Screen protector fits perfectly inside it. Helps a lot with that big pixel camera bump. So long as nothing else comes loose. Hopefully it's just a first run problem

I did a lot of research on various cases. Other case reviews were saying stay away from Spigen. Glad I didn't! Fits perfectly, excellent quality, looks fantastic, non-cheap hinge protection. Also got the Spigen glass screen protector. Case is thick but not bulky, it'll protect if dropped. It's a folding phone... it's going to be thick.

Quick update:I came back to the product page to find dimensions. The only issue I've had with the size and bulk of the phone is that my current magnetic phone holder is not big enough for the case so the phone wants to slip out while driving. I think I've found a suitable replacement. But while here I read some reviews saying that the front cover pops off. I so far have not had that issue. I made sure to clean the phone with the alcohol pad and dry it thoroughly. I had one small issue getting the cover off of one piece of the included double sided tape but that is. I also added regular screen protector before putting the front on because it does not have a built in screen protector for the front screen. So far it feels like it's on really good! Spigen includes extra pieces of double sided tape if needed. Hopefully that will be enough for people to fix the front piece without it falling off. Otherwise it's pretty useless. Unfortunately their just aren't many options for covers so far.I also purchased this one while waiting for the Spigen. It was great and had a built in screen protector for the front screen. I've already seen people post about damaging the hinge in drops without a cover and I'm just not willing to risk that. It is a gorgeous phone without the case but also heavy and awkward, making it prone to drops. This case is worth every penny if protects the phone for a few years. I added a glass screen protector to the front screen as this cover doesn't include that. I ordered a cheaper option to cover me for the past week and it came with a front cover with a built in screen protector. It was so much bulkier than this one from Spigen. If you want to protect the phone, including the hinge, I'm now sure anyone can do better than this.

I have purchased 6 different cases for my Pixel Pro 9 Fold. The lightest cases didn't protect the hinge which I found out is crucial. My daughter dropped my phone from a counter top while reaching for something and the phone fell on the hinge. That destroyed the inside screen. I have since been looking for a case that protects the hinge. The problem has been the weight with every case I have tried. The Spigen adds weight but not as much as all the other cases I have tried. The other very important feature is that the Spigen case doesn't come with a screen protector built into the from part of the case. Every case I have bought has not only been super heavy, but comes with a cheap built in screen protector that makes the screen look crappy. The Spigen screen has allowed me to use a high quality glass screen protector (purchased separately) for the front screen. I highly recommend this case.
