My GSD loves this!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Purchased this Jolly ball with rope for my 7 yr old GSD, Cooper, who is very hard on balls. He takes out his pent up “Squirrel Aggression “ on all Jolly balls. He’s gone through at least 5 Jolly balls with handles, so I thought I’d try this one. It took him awhile to get the hang of it....he likes to slam them on the ground. As you can see, he has learned how to “operate” this one.

I like it!
I like this ball a lot. I do, it's fun and I can't get my mouth around the ball part but the tug of war rope is the bomb diggity. It's totally my favorite. When my humans play tug of war (or Drag the Dog) I love it so much- super fun, could do it for hours. Unfortunately because I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed (dead starfish freak me OUT) my humans have to put this out of my reach when they aren't around (and then I stand and stare at it trying to will it off the shelf). I like playing tug of war, sure, but I also like eating all the strings off of the rope when I'm bored. Mom says something about vet bills, I don't know, they're just tasty in my mouth. So I guess this is not only a great toy but also a great treat (although, like I said, mom was all like, "No! Bad dog!" when I was eating the snack rope...she's super no fun). Overall, awesome for tug of war but try not to eat the strings or your mom will take it away from you too. (Lucy, two year old Boxer...who is not to be trusted with anything edible...or inedible)

Not Sure What They Changed . . .
but this is no where near the quality of the first one I bought several months ago!! This one even sounds cheaper/different when it's tossed on concrete/blacktop. Plenty of teeth marks in this one already, while the old one looks like new!!I was going to buy the Jolly Pets 'ball-within-a-ball', but after reading similar reviews, I'll hold off for now. Junk materials will only lose you customers; go back to the formula/supplier you were using before. I am so sick of companies taking and taking; screwing the customer to make their profit, instead of offering quality items.

Lasted 36 minutes
Unfortunately this toy lasted all of 36 minutes with our Lab. I have tried several "strong" name-brand toys for her, but she goes through them in minutes, literally. This was a new brand for us. This is probably fine for a very small mouthed dog who doesn't like to chew, but just play. We thought about cutting the rubber ball off, and just give her the rope, but she was going through that as well. Not for stronger dogs.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The dogs like it and they haven't torn it to pieces yet. We've had it over a month. I'd recommend Jolly Pet toys for anyone with a dog. We have a few of them now. Presently, we have a three-year-old Border Collie, Jessie, and a five-month-old Blue Heeler / Border Collie mix, Charlie. Granted, they're not absolute toy-destroyers, but they get pretty rough sometimes, and I can imagine as the puppy grows, she'll only get stronger. (Of course)The size of the ball is good as my adult Border Collie is able to pick it up by taking hold of the ball, though she prefers grabbing the rope and running off with it. She weighs about 40 pounds, so she's not a big dog. The ball is weighty enough that it can be thrown a good distance for games of fetch. If only our yard were bigger ... But it's not so heavy that the 15-pound puppy can't easily drag it around. Now that she's gotten taller (than in the attached video), she has no problem keeping it from dragging on the ground or floor. It's held up through some quite rambunctious games of tug-o-war.The ball and rope together weigh about 8 and-a-half ounces. The rope is about 16 inches long, from knot to knot, and moves freely through the ball.I like the bright orange color because it's easy to spot it in the yard so the husband doesn't run it over with the riding mower. If he hit it, the rope and ball would probably destroy the blades. So, yeah. Get your dog one of these!

HIGHLY recommend for heavy chewers!!
First off, the only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is because the rope it comes with is a soft cotton-y type of material and it fell apart almost instantly. I’m talking within the first few hours of my dog having it in his possession. He was pulling little strings out of the rope as a whole before the entire thing was finally pulled out of the ball.NOW! As for the ball itself... I am SO IMPRESSED! We have owned this ball for almost a year (Dec 2017) and it is still going strong! I have an AmStaff (pit bull) who is a very aggressive chewer. This is one of his favorite toys so he plays with it constantly. He is able to bite down on the ball and since it is not inflated, it just kind of compresses and then pops back into its orignal shape. As you can see from the photos it is well loved. If this thing ever falls apart on us, I will definitely be purchasing a new one and just remove the rope right away since it is a choking/intestine clogging hazard.

do they just LOVE to bite things and crush like a vise
Have big and athletic dogs? do they just LOVE to bite things and crush like a vise? This is the best ball! My dogs are great fetchers, love fast-moving games of chase the ball, catch it, shake it like you can't believe, and bring it back - do it again!it's not a chew toy. but... some pitbulls, mine anyway, are rough on toys. These dogs play HARD. I learned a while back that basketballs are worthless, and have an old atv tire they work over all the time. but sometimes I want to play with them too! This ball is perfect for it - just kick it a good one, the dogs love it.I've bought 3 more of these. two in the 6" size, and one more 8". I very much appreciate they are American made, know my dogs are safe that way. and they are TOUGH. mine have punctures everywhere... it's just a mottled mess of bite marks, holes, etc. but the ball still looks like a ball, still kicks great, and I think this is a winner! My pitbulls are NOT large - they are 45lbs and 50lbs, just the tall slender dogs with a big neck and powerful jaws. Yeah, the ones that look like an alligator! Fun dogs, have to work them! These are a great addition to the "work the dogs" arsenal.Jolly Pets, thanks for an EXCELLENT product ;)

Too expensive for what it is
No point in writing this review as I can’t see any reviews other than 5 star reviews !!! They seem to be missing. This ball was punctured within a day. It’s smaller than my other Jolly ball and too expensive for what it is

Outstanding service arrived the day after it was ordered
Excellent service (considering the current Coronavirus situation and the limitations being imposed). The product arrived the day after ordered which was great as it was a birthday present for our dog. The dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback) loves it, but on day 2 of him playing with it, it has lots of puncture teeth marks. Hopefully it will last for awhile longer and withstand his jaws. Would consider buying again and would definitely use this supplier again.

Brilliant for a spaniel who destroys tennis balls and fluffies
This is my springer spaniel's favourite toy. He's a total destroyer (even the so-called 'tough' toys - he'll unpick a seam and gut it within 15 minutes, trash tennis balls in a day, and rope toys last maybe a week,) but this has lasted for three months and is still going strong. The rope is still in one piece, and the ball's light enough for him to be able to carry it round by the rope (and, now, he's 10 months, he can get his mouth round the whole ball and he likes that even more). There are a lot of teeth marks in it, but it's stood up to a lot of chewing and flinging about and tug-of-war. I'm buying another so we have a spare for when the original eventually goes. Probably the best toy we've bought for him (and I'm an overindulgent owner who has bought him a LOT of toys).

The dog loves it - just wish it was a little longer lasting
My dog absolutely loves this toy - by far his favourite in the collection and he goes mad for it whenever it comes out. Sadly the rope didn't stand up to his chewing when I wasn't paying attention - it's around 1cm thick. I'm going to get a replacement rope so he can enjoy it again, but this time I'll ensure it's only out for supervised play. However he's a very persistent chewer so I imagine other dogs might be ok with it - just keep your eyes on them just in case!

Great ball for big dog
Excellent ball and rope for big dog. Our Scottish Deerhound loves it. It stands up very well to all the rough play he can give it.
