Avantree C81-PC (2025 New) - USB-C Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter for PC & Mac with Low Latency & aptX-Adaptive, Audio Dongle Transmitter to Connect Wireless Headphones & Earbuds for Computer Desktop Work

This works perfectly well with all Avantree headphones. The sound quality is perfect. Other non-Avantree branded headphones should look elsewhere for a dongle, as this one doesn’t connect to them directly.

Sorry, the Avantree C81-PC underperforms in every concept and does not deliver. Using Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra, Sennheiser Momentum 4, and MEE audio Matrix Cinema headphones unable to have reliable connections without audio breakage, distortion, and not able to walk beyond 15 feet before complete silence or no connection. Tried both USB type A and USB-C. It does pair with all 3 headphones however, it is also PC User Unfriendly. Need to go to Windows Settings and add to Bluetooth Device Connections and Audio to select output. Then on the taskbar Speaker icon, select the listening device.I have 3 desktops, and 2 laptops. The results were the same.I wanted to upgrade from my TechKey USB BT 5.0 to newer with 5.2/5.3 capability.Went back to using the TechKey.I do not recommend the Avantree C81-PC dongle USB Bluetooth adapter.

For Christmas, I bought my wife Apple AirPods Pro 2 Earbuds for use with her IPad Pro and IPhone Pro. All working great. As I was justly reaping the appropriate rewards, I decided to introduce her Earbuds to Microsoft by way of two gaming desktops running Windows 11 (24H2). Since Pro 2 Earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 and are new, I looked at some highly rated Bluetooth adapters in Amazon’s New Releases and found the C81-PC. I purchased two adapters along with two Faracent USB C Extension Cables. I use the Faracent cables to make sure that the C81 was clear of the other wireless adapters on my gaming desktops. So the C81 is connected to the Faracent cable which is connected to a USB 3.2 gen2 port on my mobo. A couple of things to consider. Even though the C81 supports a Bluetooth standard, you won’t see the typical Bluetooth Icon. Pairing occurs between the AirPods and CB1. Also, I made sure my Power Management setting in the USB Root Hub was turned off.These moments where everything works together is rare and deserves the review.

Finally, a USB audio dongle that actually does what it says it will do. I have tried the EPOS Enterprise BTD 800, UGREEN, and Xring adapters and all of them had problems when trying to use my Airpods with Teams on Windows 11. With this Avantree product, my voice on the receiving end is crystal clear and on my end the audio is good with no stuttering or lag. If you want to use your Airpods in Windows 11, this is the only choice. I don't leave Amazon reviews ever but I had to give props here.

This was basically a plug-in-play with little to no hassle for me. I did however had to hold onto the button to make it connect to my Bluetooth earbuds. I've only used it for Bluetooth earbuds to listen to music. The music sounded great, no distortion or connection issues. There was a bit of delay sometimes, but it didn't bother me. I haven't used it for gaming to see how it would perform, but based on music I'm completely satisfied. I was skeptical at first because it doesn't have those crazy long antennas like the other ones. But it worked.

I plugged this device into my desk top computer and it recognized the device Bluetooth right the way. I was abled to see it on my headphone. However, I could not hear any sound playing thru my headphone. Perhaps that I might need to disable its Bluetooth function which I have not have not have times to fully test it out.

I purchased this device over the weekend and it arrived yesterday. Today, I have spent a couple hours trying to use it with my laptop and Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones. The headphones connect easily enough to the dongle, no problems there. The audio through various different apps (Youtube and Twitch via Chrome, Apple Music desktop app) crackles and drops out consistently. I am comfortable doing troubleshooting, so I did some googling and also went to the Avantree website, and proceeded to follow the instructions that I found, which included changing power settings, trying different ports, disabling settings in the Sennheiser headphone app, disconnecting from all nearby devices, factory defaulting the dongle and the headphones, updating firmware (which doesn't work very well, the program for that probably needs to be updated a little, it hung up or just wouldn't start almost every time I tried to run it), and reinstalling the drivers for the dongle itself. After going back and doing some searching in the reviews on here, this model seems to not work very well with the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones. I would not recommend it if you are trying to use them with these headphones. I emailed the Avantree support this morning through their website and have yet to hear back, hopefully they will respond, but I am planning on sending the dongle back and trying something different. May change my rating to 2 stars if the support response is helpful, but for now, I will leave it at a 1 star.

This is the only bluetooth dongle for your PC that you need. I tried several dongles from different brands, and all of them kept disconnecting from my soundbar. This is the only one that really works with an astonishing sound and always connected.
