Nice set of whetstones
These stones are nice. I really liked that there is such a variety of grits available to use. These were the first stones I ever bought, so I looked up lots of tutorials on Youtube before actually trying it on my knives. The holding block that comes with this is really nice. Although the space for the stone is slightly larger than the stone itself, the rubber grips that go around the stones hold it in place easily. The bottom of the holder is also a textured rubber which gripped on both my laminate countertop and stainless steel sink with ease. The angle holder accessory is a little tricky to get on, by it certainly didn't fall off while sharpening. Overall I would reccomend this set to any beginners looking to sharpen their own knives and save money and work better in the kitchen!

Excellent
I use these to sharpen and begin the polishing on my EDC pocket knives and all the work on my kitchen knives and they work amazingly well for the price. I’m pretty sure the higher grits are much lower than listed since they only remove the machine marks and scratches that the lower grit stones put on the edge, but these combined with a strop make my edges sharper than razors and mirror shined. The only complaint I had was the base had to chunks broken off of it when I got it, but some super glue fixed that and it has worked since. Not gonna knock a star off cause I’m pretty sure it was the shipper not the company.

Damn good system
These stones are great. May be some out there who'll look down their nose at them because they aren't top of the line but if they wanted top shelf, they shouldn't have been at ground level looking for them. If you're just starting to hone and sharpen your own blades but unsure about investing lots of money into some of the higher priced sharpening systems out there or what grade you need to be looking for in coarse or smoothness, these are just the ticket. Good deal for the money.

Excellent Resource and Great Price
Stones were basically perfectly flat, and worked right out of the water (I soaked them for about an hour or so to give a trial run). I have no complaints whatsoever. Very stoked on this purchase. It is giving new life to my kitchen knives and to my everyday carries. I'm ashamed to say I neglected their sharpening for too long, and these will go a long way to restoring them to (hopefully) a better sharpness than they've ever been.

Great to learn to use whetstones
Great set of whetstones to start off with.Im a professional chef with 5 yrs experience, i keep all my knives in working order with a honing steel and get them professionally sharpened every 2 months or so. I recently decided to learn to hand sharpen with whetstones and this donxote set is great to start with as it is cheap and very forgiving for begginers definitly recommened for first set or heavy work use

Decent product
I think the stones are worth the purchase. The bamboo base arrived broken and I had to break out the wood glue and clamps to repair it. I think they should be packaged a little better so this doesn’t happen to other buyers. They only had a small about of bubble wrap to protect them. The base has a strange smell. It reminds me of cigarettes and fresh tires.

Great sharpening stones
These are my first sharpening stones and I purchased them because most of my knives were dulling from my kitchen knives to a cheap knife I have had for years which I use for work with a chip in the blade. I watched a few tutorials on how to use wet stones and then decided to it a try. These stones have worked the balls. I had no trouble fixing the chip in my knife and I have been able to get all of my blades razor sharp.

Worth every penny i spent on these
It is therapeutic to shapen knives on these stones, going by the sharpening cycle, the 8000 grit cleans burr like a dream, a good stropping post these and your knife is good enough to cut rocks, just joking. But love these.

All in one package for beginners
This is what I would call an essential knife sharpening set in any kitchen in this decade. As people grab more interest into cooking healthy as well as creating complex dishes, the knifes that are usually available in the kitchen can become dull over time. Knifes getting dull might be the shear reason anyone would go out and purchase expensive knife sets from J.A. Henckels or Victorinox. As a frugal person, spending that kind of money isn't an option as well as creating a collection of sub-par made dull knifes in my kitchen. This sharpening stone set is what should be on people's list. The quality of the whetstones is what would be considered as budget, and it does it's job well in that regard. After soaking the stones for 30 minutes, these stones can be suitable to sharpen any knife. And the included wooden stand is a must have, considering that otherwise, one would find themselves frustrated with stones gliding across the countertop.Few thing to note (IMPORTANT): If you find yourself struggling to keep a consistent sharpening angle, and you have to use the angle guide, please take time and apply a little bit of tape around the spine of the knifes before putting the angle guide on. I had one of my knifes scratched because I did not do this step ahead of time. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR KNIFES.Aside from everything, this is a great set for people to get started into the world of knife sharpening. If you are planning to sharpen relatively pricey knifes with this, I highly recommend you learning how to sharpen with cheap knifes first before committing to sharpen an expensive knife on these stones.

It looks beautiful, it works beautifully!
The media could not be loaded. I really enjoy using this set. 1. It’s been so long since I last had to use a knife to open a fully sealed package—the feeling was amazing! The item arrived in perfect, new condition. 2. The color combination reminds me of my favorite childhood desserts. 3. The accessories are practical—no extras, no missing pieces. 4. It works exactly as expected and as advertised. 5. Great value for the price.

AMAZING STONES
These whetstones are the best value for money, I have used them quite a bit and it never fails to shine. It has made my kitchen knives extremely sharp with only a couple of pushes. Of course, you have to soak them for 15-30mins before using them but once you start using them, they are amazing.
