Works fine for 3-5 days as long as you put them back in the package each day
Decided to try these as I get eaten alive if there is a mosquito within a mile of me. So far, they work great! I had to be inside a swarm of at least a thousand of these pests when I was filling my dogs water bowl between a couple of bushes. Thats natural vegetation and standing water all the time. Perfect breeding ground for them.I was only bitten twice. I'm 6'2 and heavy. I wear one of these bands on my ankle. It's a little tight, but not too bad. In any case, I noticed that I got bit the following day in an area where there were a lot fewer mosquito's and it was about 5 inches above the band. Now, I didn't put the band back in the package that night, so I'm thinking that it just lost some of its potency. In any case, I was good for the rest of the day. That night, I put it back in the pouch and resealed it overnight. The following day, I put it back on, went back to the mosquito farm to water my dog, and no bites at all.Yesterday was day 5 and even though I've been diligent about putting it back in it's pouch at night, I did get bit three times that morning. Hence, why I said that it works for 3-5 days (with proper maintenance).Overall, I'll go for them again, especially since this summer is really hot and humid.

Effective
These bracelets are really cute. They seemed to work best when not in a fully grassy area. We put one on our ankles too so that seemed to help when we were sitting at the table outside.

Worked while hiking
There’s a couple of hikes that I don’t usually do until last summer because of the mosquitoes but this year I decided to test these mosquito repellent bracelets out on one of the hikes about a month sooner than I would have otherwise. They worked great. I put one on my ankles and wrist. No bites! Yeah!

I Like the Material Better than the Other Types
It's a good value, the all of them come with resealable bags. I like the feel of them, they are plasticky so when you're paddle boarding they don't get saturated and have to dry out forever. They seem to be as effective as the other ones I've tried. The fit is stretchy enough that I can put one on an ankle and one on a wrist.

Really like this style!
I like this style of "flat" buggy bands over the "coil" type bracelets- they are just more comfortable to me, especially while paddling in a kayak or canoe. They have a strong, but not intense smell - which is good... means there are enough oils to do the job. I prefer to use DEET-free insect repellents but it's not always convenient to keep spraying yourself. I feel like these last all day, and if you put them back in the resealable pouches, you can get at least 2, maybe 3 days out of them. One minor complaint - they came stuck to a piece of cardboard with some heavy duty double stick tape. When I pulled them off, a lot of the sticky residue stuck to the pouches. Had to use Goo-gone to get it off so they wouldn't stick to everything in my beach bag! Current price point of $12.99 seems a little high for only 6 bands, but worth it to get this style - and they're very colorful too!

Helpful and easy to use
I want to go outside to play with the dogs for just a little bit of time before and after work, but I hate having to spray myself with bug spray for these short periods of time. However, if I don't the mosquitos will eat me alive. I thought I would give these bracelets a try as an alternative to spray on these occasions. They have definitely helped. I don't think it is perfect, and I do still sometimes get a bite or two, but nothing like I usually get. I did make the mistake of trimming some bushes when I was only wearing a bracelet with no additional spray. That was the only time I don't think they helped all that much. For that reason, I wouldn't want to wear only a bracelet if I were going for a hike or something that may encounter even more mosquitos, but I do think they are helpful in less buggy areas. What I really love about these bracelets is that I can open just one at a time and wear it for my short outside visits, then place it back in the resealable bag to use again the next time I go out. I think this probably helps them to work better for longer. There is no information on how long these stay effective once opened. It did seem to work for a few days, but probably around day 4 it was less effective. I love this as an alternative to covering myself in spray when I don't plan to be outside for long periods of time. It is a cute little bracelet too, so if you care to be fashionable, I think this will fit the bill. They are easy to use and comfortable to wear. I don't know if it makes sense financially for me to keep purchasing these for this purpose if each bracelet is only effective for a few days, but I could see this being a great option for many people and situations. It is definitely something I wouldn't mind stocking up on if I see a sale.

Non-intrusive bug repellent for adults
The media could not be loaded. These are a great additional option for keeping the mosquitoes away without having to cover your entire body with bug spray. I would still recommend both if you’re going to a Heavy mosquito area. These bracelets are a little on the bigger side so I would not recommend them for kids, but they are really good for adults and the design is a little bit nicer than your standard mosquito Bracelets.
