There is no two ways around it - this does nothing. First, the icepacks are super, super cheap. They come empty (asides from a powder) and you fill them to a marked line. The plastic is super thing, and the caps are very cheap. I suspected these would leak, but wanted to try regardless. I froze them standing upright to prevent any leaks in my freezer. When I pulled them out, they were massively buldged, so I don't know that I trust the max line marking.I set up the machine regardless, and kept fingers crossed.No amount of finger crossing makes this thing worthwhile. First, it is louder than expected, and while running you do hear the constant trickling of water as it feeds through the machine. It also makes no sense that the front grate is DOUBLE the size of the fan, but whatever. Second, it simply does not cool. This is basically a fan. The air coming out doesn't feel cooler than a fan running right next to it. The fan right next to it doesn't make me want to go to the bathroom due to the running water sound. Third, after a very short time I did go to swap the icepacks...and that's when I noticed they do in fact leak from the tops, and I got goop all over my hands from pulling it out.You can by a fan for significantly cheaper, that will run quieter and blow air. Will it cool the air? No, but neither will this. Save yourselves the trouble of needing to return this one.

Disappointed that one of the plastic cells did not have any crystals and the gauge that shows you how full the tank is was installed upside down and cannot be adjusted. Quality control needs to be worked on. If I’m sitting in front of the unit, I stay nice and cool but it doesn’t cool a whole room.
