*This review is written after 10 days of experience using the Logitech G430 headphones, do pardon me if you find the review unorganized or something*Setup of this headphones is quite tricky to be honest, you need to ensure that the software and respective drivers are installed properly to ensure smooth working of these headphones and to get proper surround sound. I've discussed this at the end of this review.Coming to the review:1. Build: It is nice taking into consideration the price. Fiber bodied, but metallic wherever necessary(headband etc.). They won't break with light mishandles that is for sure!2. Sound: Surround sound is amazing, bass especially is superb, it feels like you are sitting in a movie theatre while watching a surround film. Remember you need to download 5.1 or 7.1 surround movies, only surround headphones won't make a difference. For gamers, this is gold, commands are hissed into your ears! Explosions are impressive, it has good control over volume normalization. For listening to songs, it is recommended to avoid the use of given adapter and plug headphones directly into the 3.5 mm jack as songs are stereo only, or else you can turn-off the surround from software.3. Compatibility: I use Windows 7 x64, they are compatible with it, according to Logitech, they should work on all platforms also. Surround sound isn't available on Android or any other smartphone, however you can use them directly with 3.5 mm jack.4. Comfort: The ear padding seems rough and the headband cushion seems hard but they get adjusted once you start using them continuously. Many times I forgot I was actually wearing them.5. Microphone: Stereo, yeah! But only when you plug it directly into the jack and not through the adapter. Overall its good, for the price! But could've been betterComing to the cons:VOLUME IS LOW!: This is a big problem faced by many of my fellow consumers here, but I've got a solution for that(not boosting!), discussed at end!Wire is too long: Yeah, troubles a bit, but, acceptable for me at least!CONTINUOUS HISSING: Turn off the microphone from the software, hissing will stop! ;)Very bulky: Yeah they are, especially for 'former' bullet earphone users, do not buy it if you plan it to port from time to time, please!***Installation guidelines:1. Windows 7 users, ensure you have the Windows Update KB3033929 installed. (*important*)2. Download Logitech Gaming Software, latest version.3. Plug the headphones with adapter.4. Turn surround ON, volume to full and microphone muted to stop that hissing.5. Download surround content to test.6. Go to Sound in Control Panel and somewhere there make these headphones Default Audio Output device.Low Volume issues fixed:The latest update fixes volume issues(22nd Feb 2016 or later, check their site)!Final Consensus: Only low budget, surround lovers may buy these, they are worth the money! If you have 10k, go for Razer Kracken Pro. If you have more, buy *for real* surround sound system, nothing beats that.Rating: 4.5/5 rounded to 5/5 :)Edit(13th November 2016): Hey guys its almost an year using these headphones and they're still working great, no damages nothing! With the LGS October 4 update v8.88 these headphones support DTS Headphone:X audio too along with the conventional Dolby surround and now we have a choice for Dolby and DTS movies separately. I have not yet regretted my decision for buying these headphones! :) Revised rating: 5/5Edit(29th July 2018): Almost 2 and a half years now and its still going great! I have started experiencing issues with the volume rocker though, so I recommend newer users to avoid its use and fix it at one level and use the computer to adjust volume. The Logitech G430 is an amazing gaming headset! Although the surround sound is virtual, it does feel as if a game character is standing next to you and speaking while you play. The audio quality of the microphone is astounding! My friends can hear me without a hitch when we play Multiplayer Games together. As for the price, it is the best one you can get at this range! 5-stars for Amazon too. As I opted for Amazon Same-Day Delivery, I got my product in 4-5 hours! Hats off to Amazon for such an impeccable service!

I'll try to keep this short,Sound quality is great and surround system is good, but u need to enable loudness equalizer from settings coz it's not dat loud compared to other products in market,Build quality is plastic but it dosnt feel cheap, I m still using these headphones and they r pretty durable ( just don't bang them) 😝As for sound card I don't know the real difference and I don't really care abt them I love it.At the end of the day it's ur money and ur decision I hope it helps u.Sorry I forgot to mention. I m facing problems when I m playing splinter cell black list and running Skype in back ground for some reason the headphones won't work. Other den that I don't have any other problem with other games n running Skype.

Pros:- Great build quality.- Light weight.- 7.1 ch surround is amazing.- I've used it more than 16 hours of continuous gaming with it. Nothing Pains, I mean they good for long use.- Perfect fit. Ear cups fit nicely on my ears.- Great long braided cable. Braided cables are least prone to breakage.- adjustable and fold-able mic.Cons:- Low volume.- Only meant for gaming. Can watch movies with great surround though. It's 50-50 due to low volume and great surround, it makes me confuse.- You need to connect the USB dongle provided for listening 7.1 ch audio and interact with the Logitech Gaming Software.- The logitech gaming software is glitchy.- Mic input is very very much low. I can say you need to take the mic near your mouth with your hand.Over all I liked it but price should have less like, 3-3.5K and it would be perfect.

The best product, this is best product. Comfortable to wear light weight ear cups are nice and microphone sound quality is excellent when you play games it will kick your ass. Awesome. It really gives like you are in the game. The surrounding sound comes from all sides. For watching 7.1 or 5.1 movies it will give you experience that you are sitting in cinema. And other gaming headphones like hyper x cloud 1 they just give 1 year warranty and even razer only gives 1 year warranty this the company you can trust and it just not about warranty it about performance and like I said It kick asss in that so take deep breath and go for it it is just one time buy and enjoy..

Worst quality the headphones broke in 15 days from the sides on average use, never expected such worst quality from a company like logitech also the return window got closed and now not able to return it. Seller should refund this but it's not possible now. Burnt Rs 5000 in just 15 days and now can't use it. Hyper X Cloud 2 are better build and also durable I wish I would have seen that first before buying these!

Had to pay to return still waiting for refund they arrived wrapped in a black bag and the box was badly damaged they looked used they where not good quality would never buy again

Produto em sí em muito bom, confortável e com boa qualidade de som, sofri um pouco pra configurar no Windows com o adaptador USB que vem junto, mas não me agradou a experiencia do 7.1 nos jogos que utilizo, então optei por ficar no p2 mesmo. De modo geral o produto vale muito a pena.

Overall this is the most reliable set of headphones I've ever bought. I've started recommending them and buying them for family members when they want headphones and I have a spare set for when the ones I'm currently using die on me. Normally, my headphones don't last more than a month or two, but this set has lasted most of a year and is going strong.Pros: - Great sound quality - Extremely comfortable - Great adjustable size, even fits my unusually large head no problem - Extremely clear mic quality. I would have no problem recording with these. - They seem to go on sale regularly. If you can get them for less than $80 you will probably not find a better deal anywhere else. I'd compare their overall performance to headphones twice that price. - As said above, durable. These will stand up to quite a bit of heavy duty use. - these come with a usb jack which accepts both the mic and headphone portion, which is vital for my setup because my laptop's mic port doesn't seem to work properly.There's a few minor structural concerns that I want to make sure are addressed. If you have any reason to suspect you'll be using these regularly I strongly recommend taping over these to provide structural stability for the plastic which is a bit weak in these areas, in order to save further heartache down the line.1 - The twist point that allows the earmuffs to turn laterally around and conform to your ear. Unfortuantely, this is the weakest point in the design and likely to give out first.2 - The swivel point that allows the headphones to be positioned vertically towards or away from the top/bottom of your head. These are also a bit weak and have a tendency to slip.3 - The bridge that holds point 2 and attaches it to the main body of the headset. This is just a point of precaution. It seems as if these only receive extra stress after point 2 has already gone; however, it is the thinnest piece of structural plastic on the entire headset, so imho better safe than sorry.Cons of doing this: - looks ugly as sin - all of these pivot points are there to provide comfort and functionality and by taping over them you'll be reducing that somewhat. however, considering these headphones will likely stand the test of time if well taken care of, I feel it's worth it.
