Button Bonanza
I bought this Button maker to use as part of my community art projects for my business as well as to make buttons to sale as a fundraiser. IT HAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I have pressed almost all the buttons it came with and this machine has held up. The plastic is not flimsy at all! From Children to Seniors have easily been able to use and make their own "Badges of Life". I cant believe how much joy this activity has brought the community. I need to buy a 2nd and maybe even a 3rd one to accommodate the demand. So pleased. TRUST if your button didnt come out right you did something wrong lol. The plastic film is very thin and easy to use two ... that will mess it up ... i tried to use construction paper but it was too thick ... make sure and use the same weight paper BUT I did manage to press some fake flowers into a button, That was pretty dope.

Works great and very simple to use!
I have been making button for the past month with this machine and so far am very happy with it. It is sturdy, easy to use, and makes great professional looking buttons. The supplies that came with it are very quality and work perfectly every time. Overall, it was a great buy, makes awesome pins, and is easy to use. Yes, I would recommend it as a fun craft item for kids as well as those that make pins for fund raisers, schools, church groups, and for small businesses.

pretty good, a little bit flimsy
While I have no major complaints about this button machine, I will say that it feels a little bit flimsy. Mostly the base and the handle. If you plan on making buttons for a business or events you might want a model that is made from metal. This machine will not hold up to that much repeated large volume use. I just plan on using this for a fun craft project so it suits my needs just fine. This is sturdy enough for most people's household craft use. There is a bit of a learning curve and you will mess some buttons up until you get a feel for what is working. Honestly, it's just part of the process and not necessarily an indicator of quality. You can get replacement supplies for a pretty inexpensive price so it's ok if you mess some up. I found that I had more success when I added the blank circle paper provided behind the paper circle with my printed image. I think the extra padding helps with crimping a bit.The machine is pretty simple to use but the manufacturer's directions can be confusing. For each size you have base 1, base 2 and the upper part. Magnets hold the bases and upper parts in place but you still need to line everything up. The bottom grey base has some slots that you need to fit the removable bases into. They will snap into place when they are aligned correctly. If they aren't snapped in, it won't work right. As far as the pressing steps go, I find that I don't get enough force on a table top so I need to really press hard to make sure everything crimps. I have arthritis in my hands and reduced grip strength so you might have an easier time. The second press is a bit easier. With either press, I didn't hear any click or sound to indicate that I did it correctly. I found it is easier to look at the upper part and the base to make sure they are touching. On the second press, the upper part will fit into the slot on the base. You can't push it farther than that. It doesn't happen on the first press because of how the slot doesn't line up.I used a cutting machine to cut out the circles and I found the following measurements to be the best (after a lot of trial and error):1 inch button: 1.313 inch circle with 0.875 inch circle in the center visible.1.25 inch button: 1.629 inch circle with 1.156 inch circle in the center visible2.25 inch button: 2.625 inch circle with 2.063 inch circle in the center visible.I just made a repeating circle template with cut lines and an overlay layer with the smaller circles for the visible area so I could make sure my designs were centered. Before cutting, I made sure to delete the visible area layer. I was able to get perfect placement this way. I didn't bother with the circle cutter because it's more work than a silhouette machine.Even though the manual said not to, I pressed a plastic back button with no issues. It was a one inch button so I'm not sure if larger sizes would pose a problem. For the plastic backed button all of the parts were from a different manufacturer and they worked just fine. I haven't tried it yet but I think that this machine will fit dies from WeRMemorykeeprs. I will update my review when I am able to test out if it is compatible with other dies.

Works well and is so fun!
We have had the best time making buttons! Works well and is easy to use. My daughter (11) makes these herself though she is still getting used to cutting them with the provided tool. TIP: for the large and medium size we had to use two washers in the press, otherwise the buttons would not seal. These sizes came with three washers each so it may vary for you. The small press did not require any washers.TIP: the cutters look bigger than what you need but are the correct size. The paper folds over the metal a bit when pressed. This is how it stays secure.

Works Okay, but Issues with Large Buttons
I’ve been using this button machine for a little while now, and while it does an okay job for smaller buttons, I’ve run into consistent issues with the larger ones. Here’s my experience:Works Well for Smaller Buttons: The machine works fine when making smaller buttons. It’s easy to use, and the smaller sizes come out sealed properly with a nice, professional look.Issues with Large Buttons: Unfortunately, when it comes to the larger buttons, I’ve had trouble getting them to seal correctly. No matter how carefully I align the materials, the edges don’t close as tightly as they should, leaving the buttons looking unfinished. I’ve tried troubleshooting, but the issue seems to be consistent with the larger sizes.Decent Build Quality: The machine itself feels solid and sturdy, and I like the overall design. It’s easy to set up and operate, which makes it convenient, especially for someone like me who’s new to making buttons.Affordable: For the price, I’d say it’s a decent option for beginners or hobbyists. Just be aware of the limitations with larger buttons.Overall, this button machine is decent for smaller projects, but if you’re planning to make a lot of large buttons, you may run into some issues with sealing. Hopefully, this is something the manufacturer can improve in future versions.

Gifted to happy recipient!
This set was a Christmas gift and the recipient loves it! There are so many pieces in the box, you may want to spend some time figuring out what goes with what and labeling/bagging to make things easier on yourself. Also there is no instruction manual. But it all works as advertised and the price was good for a press that does multiple sizes.
