Lumene Instant Glow Beauty Serum, Dark, 1.0 Fluid Ounce, 30ml (81870)

I had to take one star off because the applicator (the dropper) has not worked from day one. I still love this serum and use it by turning the bottle's opening on to my hand. It is unfortunate but I really like the product inside. I love wearing just the serum by its self with minimum concealing. I get many compliments on my skin when I do and I know it's the product enhancing my texture. I will be purchasing more of this product and I hope the next bottle will have working dropper.

I am so bummed. I really wanted to love this. I read every review I could find and watched every video review (very few available or positive) before purchasing this in the shade "Light". I am not a foundation wearer, mainly only an SPF and highlighter girl.My skin: For over 35, I have pretty flawless skin (have worked hard on this), with a few freckles and beginning of laugh lines around my eyes (which I love and fully embrace) and larger pores beside my nose. I haven't owned a foundation since I was 18 and only wear the Replenix sheer white matte physical sunblock with Nudestix Bloomies blush and a liquid highlighter every day. Spot concealer when necessary. I like my skin to be radiant and the focus of what people see, not makeup. Having said all that...Coverage alone - sheer but there. The Light color is a perfect match for my fair skin tone - cool to neutral. 4 drops cover my face and neck (after my serums and moisturizer) and by some weird magic make my 5 freckles barely noticable.There is slight breakdown over my serums and moisturizers, leaving a patchiness (I even exfoliated the night before to make sure it wasn't my skin) if I press or rub it in too much. I haven't tried this without any products on my face though. Once on, and pressed in to the skin, I couldn't really tell anything was on my skin (in the way you can with foundation) for about an hour or two.... but then, by 10AM at work, disaster! My T zone was oily. My pores looked huge (as if I had used a highlighter all over my face) and the breakdown around my nose, chin and forehead had become worse. Not good! My skin is already great, so using something "invisible" that makes it look worse is not ideal. I'd rather just keep on with my sheer SPF and highlighter.Coverage mixed with sunblock - two drops mixed in with a thumbnail size of Replenix sunblock. Even more sheer, but a lovely glow that amps up the flat matte of the Replenix sunblock alone. It still separates a bit, but did not pill! Everything I mix with the Replenix or put over it pills. This may be my go-to solution, mixed with sunblock, every day since it didn't seem to wear as poorly as using it alone over my skincare products.Wear: Did not come off on my mask on the way to the office. Does not settle under the eyes or anywhere on my face. Just looks like my skin, but filtered, at first, then the patchiness and shininess comes through. My pores are overly visible with this. I used a pore filler OVER it (yes, over and pressed in) the first day I used this and it did the trick. I found this needs almost more makeup to really look okay on my skin (powder, primer over and blotting) so it's a bit too finicky for me.Scent/Allergies: No discernable scent (very mild, if any) but after 3 days of consecutive use, weird bumps and small breakouts along my jawline and hairline.

Can’t say enough how much I Iooove this product! I don’t have any major problems with my skin to begin with, so this light coverage is perfect for every day wear for me. It evens out skin tone, gives it a nice healthy glow without too much afford. I have both light and medium for summer and winter. Also I add it to my foundation when I need that “special occasional” make up and it gives that extra glow and smoothness to it. Many times now a received compliments on my skin and I love it!

I was looking for something with good skin properties that is lightweight but has a little coverage and this was exactly that. I have makeup I use when I want good coverage with a matte look. This give a nice dewey and natural look without a cakey appearance and is great for everyday use for me when I am working out spending some time outdoors. It is not what I would use if I were getting dolled up for any reason but works great for minimal coverage, natural looks. It surprisingly matched my skin tone well, too.

There is something quite lovely about this 'serum'. Lumene really knows it's stuff when it comes to skin care so you can almost always bet whatever the product is- it will be great. Since I got this serum I haven't even applied any foundation (which I don't use a lot of anyways) I'm 41 so I've got a line or two here & there lol, I don't like to put a bunch of heavy sh*t on my face. I love to have soft & supple skin if possible. This serum is in no way a light foundation, on the other hand it covers small imperfections with a healthy radiance (if that makes sence) It's just very light, moisturizing and honestly beautiful. Give it a try ladies, I truly believe if you care for your skin you'll love this stuff!

I was looking for a sheer alternative to heavy foundation, which this certainly is, but the level of coverage is such that it really is just a tinted moisturizer, and it's not even very moisturizing. One of my few disappointing purchases from the Lumene line and at $30 for a 1 oz bottle, I won't purchase this again. Also, it uses a dropper for application which works well for some of their other formulas, but it doesn't dispense this product well.

Over or under foundations and even used as eye concealer when my regular concealer looks terrible or too crepey and it is beautiful. When my foundation just is going on terribly I will put this on over it and sort of bounce it in with a sponge or pat around with my fingers. On it's own with just spf underneath looks amazing too! I have used on browbone and tapped over my eyelids and just the prettiest nothing sort of glow. I can't describe how but there is this something special that it gives. I hope to always buy it. Also sucks about the price but at least you get a full oz.

I'm always on the hunt for dewy foundations. I'm so glad I found this! I have dry/normal skin. This makes my face pretty dewy but not overly so. Not oily looking. I tried to apply this many ways. Because it's more like a beauty serum. It's best to apply with your hands with no primer underneath. Beauty sponges are ok too. I got the dark universal color, it's perfect on me. For ref: I'm in the color latte by Laura Mercier. This is great. I love the skincare ingredients in it. It has a light fragrance and it's also buildable. It's a keeper!

Gives a lovely, light weight coverage with a pleasant smell to, would highly recommend

I am 46 years old with quite good skin, other than a few fine lines and lots of freckles.I hardly ever wear a foundation anymore as I don’t want a product that covers my skin, therefore I am always on the hunt for a very light tinted moisturiser that evens out my Skin tone and leaves a dewy fresh visage.Which is exactly what this product does! I love it!There is very little coverage with this product, but I like that and you can build it up if required, but you’ll never get a full coverage. However, you could use this under a foundation to give you that dewy glow if you wanted more coverage.I use this tinted serum most days and it instantly makes my skin look fresh, dewy and plumper. There is a real glow to it.This serum is incredibly light and rather runny, it’s not the easiest product to get out of the bottle as it uses a little glass pippet. But the bottle looks and feels expensive.I thoroughly recommend this product and I will definitely be buying more.

Menudo descubrimiento!!!, lo más este producto, aunque dice ser un serum, te aseguro que es una base de maquillaje muy fluida que iguala el tono de la piel muy bien, puedes ir modulando sin problemas poniendo más producto donde creas que necesitas más cobertura, tengo la piel mixta propensa a acné e imperfecciones y no he tenido ningún problema, hidrata sin ser grasiento, es un resplandor en la piel ideal sin efecto brillante ni purpurinoso, me ha encantado, tanto que he pedido varios productos más en su página oficial y aquí no encuentro. Úsala como una base normal, después de tu tratamiento, eso si, puedes ahorrar el paso de la crema hidratante, pues ya tiene la hidratación necesaria junto al color, si quieres puedes poner la protección solar antes y posteriormente este producto o mezclar con tu crema, tiene muchísimos usos, excelente descubrimiento. Yo compré el tono light y perfecto. Recomiendo aplicar con los dedos debido a su fluidez, es como mejor se integra. No transfiere y dura al menos 10 horas.

I worry that wearing make up on my skin every day will lead to acne break outs, but this serum has been a game changer - substantial enough to give my skin an even glow, but light enough that my face feels soft and unclogged.
