He does basic computer just surfing the web and playing alittle online game. like chess. i had a old mother broad laying aroung that runs DDR2 so i bought two of this and total of 4GB..work great right now... and its cheap. just what he needed to do basic and medium computer stuff..just to let you guys know.. it come in one dim so its just 2 GB in one dim.. so if u want 4GB u need to buy 2 of them. and its brand name.. corsair is very nice at computer parts.

Works as expected
Didn't have any problem with the product. The packaging was excellent, easy to open, and well protected. The the quality of the materials used to make the module is outstanding! Have no regrets and will probably be buying Corsair again in the future. The only bad thing I think I could say is that the price of DDR2 is more expensive now than DDR3 unfortunately. But I really didn't want to replace my motherboard quite yet.

easy install
i currently have the same memory but in 1gb sticks for a total of 2gb. I decided to upgrade after i felt my computer was a little sluggish performing some tasks. The install was easy (plug n play), but since i'm running XP professional 32bit, windows only recognizes 1gb instead of a total of 4. Either way, it doesn't matter much to me since it was relatively cheap and I can always upgrade to Windows 7 which will recognize all 4. Either way, no errors or anything.Just wanted to warn others that are running XP 32bit. it won't read past 3gb.

Works just like memory should
This is the first "brand name" stick of memory I've ever bought, as far as I can recall. I like the fact the heat spreaders are relatively inconspicuous. I had been tossing-up getting a different brand's really ostentatious model with two heat-pipes integrated with elevated radiators (on special at the same price). I'm glad I didn't - the tiny theoretical speed-boost would probably have no effect in the system it was intended for (An atom-based server) and the relatively large heat-exchangers (2x height of stick) would have made things really cramped in the case. But other than the possibility of longer life and greater reliability due to the heat-spreaders, I can't pick any really difference between this and a generic stick of memory. By no means a bad product, just "as good as it should be".

Good product for cheap price
I bought this to add to the 2gb I currently have of the same type or ram. It works to a point. When running any 32 bit OS you can only have a max of 3gb of memory working. In order to take full advantage of 4gb of memory I need to upgrade to a 64 bit OS. I will be changing to Win 7 64 soon and we will see if all 4gb works then. Other than that I have no issues.

Gave my old PC a boost!
Had an older generation PC that I was using for studio work. I noticed that at times, my computer had significant lag when rendering audio files. I added this stick of RAM and now it's smooth sailing! The low profile head spreader is very nice. It's almost like a wrap, as it doesn't add any height or width to the actual RAM module. Performs very well, and gave me PC a nice kick in the pants haha

Didn't work for me
I have Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista on it. I had 2gb in it and wanted to upgrade. When I inserted this memory in slot, it worked 1st 2 days and later on OS stopped displaying Microsoft Logo during boot time. System just displays clean black/grey screen. No beeps nothing.Taking the memory out and re-inserting resolved the issue. However, I had to do it every time.May be this is due to dual architecture. However, in that case it should happen everytime.I returned it and got 'Kingston ValueRAM 2GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL6 DIMM (Kit of 2) Desktop Memory'.System is working fine after using Kingston memory.
