Pricey, but worth every paisa
16k is not the kind of money I can afford to throw around casually. I did months of research before deciding to invest in this little speaker. And boy was I not disappointed! The speakers pump out warm, rich sound that's perhaps only a little weak in the mids. But you'll be surprised how it can fill up a room with sound. The DFX chip inside does a great job of clipping frequencies to avoid distortions at the highest volume. You might need to fiddle with your device's eq settings, but the sound is warm and clear at all times. You'll get the best sound on a flat, solid surface with the back of the speaker facing a solid wall at around six inches distance. You'll be surprised how nice this can sound even at the lowest volumes. Bass is tight without sounding muddy. Bluetooth pairing is a breeze and you'll be ready to play music in a minute of opening the box. I usually listen to anything from indie to EDM and even Indian folk tunes. Everything sounds gorgeous and full-bodied. However, keep in mind, this speaker is not meant for loud parties, but is better suited to personal listening in a medium-sized room. It really shines in moderate volumes, with incredible depth and a balanced, punchy bass attack. One great thing is that if you buy from Cloudtail (Amazon), you'll be assured of quality. My unit was a December 2017 import, so it's as fresh as it gets. It's made in Malaysia for the European market. I'm so glad I made the jump and did not waste my hard-earned money on cheaper plastic boxes.

Good speaker, though a bit expensive
We've bought the Bose SoundLink Mini II recently, and we are finding it very good. Build is solid, and looks quite small for the kind of sound it produces. It has very good bass. Its maximum volume is not too high. For a not-so-big hall/room, and for those who like bass and don't play at very high volumes, this will be a good speaker. Connectivity is easy and works more or less flawlessly within the specified range. Quite portable. It's a bit expensive though.Compared to SoundLink Color, the Mini II 1) is around double the price, 2) has more punch/power in sound, 3) is more bassy, 4) has better build, 5) has a speaker function to take a phone call while playing, 6) comes with a charging cradle, 7) has a voice message saying the remaining charge percentage of battery when switched on. Note that SoundLink Color itself is a very good speaker. It's a question whether to go for the additional features of Mini II for double the price. One noteworthy point is that the seller Cloudtail sent us the item (Mini II) with the original company seal opened, and the item had some kind of dust on it. It seems to have come from their Thane division. Definitely, didn't like that they sent an unsealed box. There isn't any issue so far with the product itself, but that is no justification that they could send unsealed item. I'm not sure how much responsibility Amazon should be taking in this.

Great product but poor battery life.
I purchased this product from Cloudtail India Private Limited, a supplier on Amazon.in. Although I did write a review earlier but it 'mysteriously' vanished so I'm writing another review for the same product. So, here goes.......As a product, it is difficult to find faults with a Bose product even if it badly needs an LCI or Life Cycle Impulse or it's time we had SoundLink Mini III after SoundLink Mini II.I have been reading reviews posted on Amazon.in where the reviewer(s) wrote bizarre stories how they were cheated with Bose products on Amazon, in particular this product, which had flashing LED lights and how they were put off by the cheap finish. Now I am not an employee of Bose nor paid by them to publicise their products but after a few decades of listening to and playing music, I feel I can discern good sound when I hear it. And Bose SoundLink Mini is a good, solid product. Unfortunately, in India, primarily due to high taxes, Bose products are priced very high but that's not a reflection of the product but skewed government policies. Anyway, that's my personal opinion. But what's unfortunately true is that Bose products in general are expensive in India. If for some reason you feel that Amazon has cheated you by sending a fake product or stones placed in the product's carton, why don't you return the thing? Amazon.in is bound by law to refund your money or send you a replacement, if you can satisfy them that what you received was a fake. This product that I purchased from Cloudtail India Private Limited, is 100% genuine and you can be rest assured that it will provide years of service, if the battery lasts that long! Why the 4 star rating then?? Simply, I feel that the company (read Bose and NOT Amazon.in) has publicised its battery life a little to optimistically. My product has a maximum battery life of just about a few hours, if I keep the volume at say, 80 to 85%. I pair it to an iPhone 7, which also connects to the product's volume control automatically, so I can control the volume from my iPhone. This is an iOS feature and syncs it easily to Bose products - all Bose products. Anyway, it's imperative that a portable Bluetooth speaker should have a longer battery life, which unfortunately this product simply does not have. It could be that I have received a Bose product with faulty or defective battery but I will never know, will I?So, if you are looking for a Bose product for a small room or your writing table, the SoundLink Mini II is a great product especially if you buy it when Amazon offers their 10% discounts on Bose.Ultimately, a Bose is a Bose!
