Some of the negative reviews mentioned poor quality and defects, none of which I've had an issue with yet. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe the manufacturer has made improvements based on customer complaints, I'm not sure. Take note that my sign has an on/off switch as well as an animation switch. Some reviewers griped about there not be an actual on/off switch, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that mine had one.Considering the purpose the sign serves, as well as the low price, I'd say it was a great deal. The bright, animated lights are very eye catching, even from across the street in broad daylight. Of course when its dark it sticks out even better. Something like this is a must for a business owner, as anything that catches a potential customers attention is so valuable.Yes, the power cord is short, yes, the lights are fewer than pictured, and yes, it does seem cheaply made, but it WAS cheap. The product pictures on the page actually don't do the lit sign justice...the sign I got is BRIGHT! I spelled it with capitals, because it really is that intense - the blue LED's are so bright they hurt to look at.
