Oh what a gorgeous and emotional book this is! Like many - I have cried when loosing a pet - but as a mother- trying to explain this and comfort your children through this loss, is sometimes hard. I wish I’d have had this book to share with my girls a few years ago.So - this story starts by sharing the love and fun that children have with pets. The snake illustration made me laugh - my nephew has a snake that he loves - but my face is usually the same as the drawings if he takes it out of its cage!The build up to the pets passing away and the emotion around this - is beautifully and sensitively captured.Additionally- the illustrations are beautiful and there are great tips and advice provided too. A highly recommended read.

What a beautiful, heartwarming story! I wished I had this book a few years ago when our dog died. It would have helped my youngest daughter deal with the grief of losing her best friend. I loved how the author illustrates ways to deal with losing a pet and how she shows them how to have so much fun in another life. The illustrations are out of this world and the colours match the emotions and moods of the storyline. It's a highly recommended read!

I have enjoyed reading this sweet story about the loss of pet with my daughter.It is a relatable subject as we have lost our cat pet Machu. We love the message and illustrations. We have also love all beautiful illustrations at the end of the book drawn by owners of pets that have crossed the rainbow bridge.

This is a very sweet and well illustrated book on losing a pet. Not gonna lie it made me a little teary eyed. This book is great for any child (or even adult!) that has lost a pet. They're not really gone, they're always there in spirit. It definitely makes anyone feel better. Love it. Beautiful.

My daughter is 6, she lost her best friend. I would give this book 10 stars if I could. It’s non-religious, comforting, validating, and gives practical ideas to celebrate your pet. If your child, or even adult lost a pet…their friend…GET THIS BOOK. It’s so sweet, and brought us all to tears.
