Fermtech5466 1 x 3/8 Auto Siphon Clamp

No more rigging up transfer tubes or getting hand cramps while holding tubing during transfer. This also allowed me to keep just above the sludge in the primary fermenter. Greatly helped reduce sludge transfer and/clogs.

This clamp helped keep the auto siphon above the trub, everything that accumulated at the bottom of the boiling kettle. I’ll also use this when I transfer my liquid from the fermentation bucket to the bottling bucket.

Fermtech, please update your description to accurately reflect what you're selling. The clip works exactly as described, however, it is plastic, not stainless steel like the product description says. I do need stainless. Fermtech, can you help?

I use the clip every time I use my auto-siphon. I love that I can control the depth (to an extent) while the siphon stays in place. For the most part, I can position the height of the siphon and it will hold assuming it can rest on something while siphoning, such as a cabinet. I own/use approximately 25 5-gallon buckets and it isn't securely tight (hence the need to rest it against something during siphoning). Maybe the larger opening at the top of the clip is better intended for a carboy and not a bucket?I think the price would be better around $4.00-5.00 but overall, it does what I need it to.

I wish I found this sooner. It's a big help when transferring my brewed beer between carboys.

This clip was a life saver!!! Made bottling so much easier!! A must have!

I loved this siphon at first but it’s not standing up to the test of time. I only have made 6 gallon batches of mead... so I haven’t put the siphon through a ton of labor, but it started having issues & bubbles (even when full submerged). I’m not sure if I damaged it somehow (I see no cracks or anything).

For what this clamp is designed to do, it performs wonderfully. The siphon neck is securely held by the clamp, and the clip will not slip and slide around the bucket. As some reviewers have mentioned, the one point of contact between the bucket and clip may cause the bottom to shift a small amount, but once in place it shouldn't move.For the price, definitely worthwhile if you use an auto siphon.

Its a clip it works for what i need it... If you need a siphon clip this size it works great.

Listing on Amazon states that this auto syphon clamp is made of stainless steel {Fermtech #5466} . Instead it is made of plastic & can be purchased from another supplier at a slightly lesser cost. Not worth the hassle to return it.
