Lenovo customer support told me X1 Carbon has a "sensitve system board"
My X1 Carbon stopped working yesterday while I was browsing amazon. I tried the reset, tried power and there were no lights at all. When I spoke with Lenovo's customer support, the response was, "Well, that machine has a sensitive system board". Lenovo support wants me to spend close to $1000 on a new system board that their representative basically told me is junk. On the plus side, the back comes off easily so I can remove my NVMe easily and not worry when I recycle the rest.
