This 1950s married couple is having fun adjusting his Santa Claus beard. They would make a perfect winter wedding favor or gift package topper. To create this happy pair, I adapted and printed a Mid-Century modern Christmas card image on heavy luster paper with archival inks, bonded it to hardwood, then cut it out individually with my Excalibur scrolling saw. It's exacting work, but very satisfying. The couple measures 3" x 4" and is enameled gold on the back and sides. Besides being used for a Christmas wedding gift, they would be perfect for a Mid-Century Modern enthusiast, as a boyfriend or husband/wife anniversary gift.
