GOBE52mm Circular Polarizing (CPL) Lens Filter (3Peak)

I have now bought x - sizes of both ''standard'' Japan Optics and Schott- GOBE Filters. UV, CPL and NDX are my preference. I have written a detailed review before, on AmazonUK and AmazonDE and can only reiterate what I said before:100% excellent products, optically and mechanically well made, great Marketing Strategy ( Growing Trees) and in not a single filter up to now have I found a fault ( and I am well over 2 dozen now). Optically they can compete with anything out there - I have compared them to my B&W/Nikon/Hoya-Filters of various grades. The only difference is: the GOBE's are vastly cheaper! So, for us Brand loving money wasters: there is NO REASON NOT to buy the GOBE Filters!I had a problem with a delivery going wrong thanks to UPS - GOBE Customer Service sorted this fast and perfect.These particular SCHOTT - GOBE-filters belong among the best of the ''big boys'', in terms of value for money they are the best- no two ways about it.. Schott is right up there with all the Nikons,Canon's, Leica's and Swarovski's and is very well known and highly regarded in Astronomical Telescope-Optics, Medical optics and has even been introduced into Optics for Weather-Satellite use. - and that you get for a good bit lesser money than you have to pay with most ''better known brand''-filters.I myself had to learn that my ''beloved brands'' are not necessary the only excellent option out there.. sometimes a ''no name''- brand can take you by surprise. Then again: ''Japan Optics'' is not really a ''no name'' if you look who is behind them and just like Schott, has built a reputation all over the world we here just not necessarily are aware of..... it is all down to marketing and believeing what we are told to buy!Again - I can only recommend these.

This is the most annoying poor quality filter i've ever bought.I've never experienced any filter stick on a lens or other filter but this filter takes an absolute age as it sticks on everything. I've had it stick on stepup rings, expensive lenses, very expensive lenses, expensive decent filters, no matter what this is screwed into it will stick and be an absolute bitch to remove. Today it welded itself to a 10 stop B+W filter, i was just about to cut it to pieces in order to save my good filter but i managed to get enough leverage onto it by forcing a screwdriver into the grip on the filter which gave enough purchase. Safe to say i'm going to sling this filter and take the hit on the expense and go on the hunt for one made by a respectible manufacturer.

I read some advice a while ago; buy the best filter you can sized to fit the largest filter thread you have. I chose the Gobe 82mm Circular Polarizing filter to fit my lens with the widest filter thread; a 16-35mm. To switch it down to fit my other lenses I use Step Up Rings which are inexpensive filter rings. Besides the filter Gobe emailed me a 6 month premium trial account for dphoto which is a photo archiving service. They also use some of their profits to plant trees; after my purchase i had an email saying 10 trees were to be planted as a result.I have used a few CPL filters with my landscape photography over the past few years; they are a constant in my bag. The Gobe filter is a step up from the cheaper filters I have used in the past. Using high quality Schott filter glass; mounted in what feels like a robust and high quality filter holder. Unlike some cheaper filters the frame is taught; there isn't any wobble in it; the threads spun onto my lens cleanly without sticking from badly machined threads. Once its on my camera the rotating filter section rotation is silky smooth. When you stop turning the thread it holds its place; the lack of wobble improving the image quality.To give the filter a whirl a difficult first real world use; I took it down to the local Rowing Regatta held on a sunny April morning by the river. This gave me a chance to spin the filter around and make the best of the suns reflections on the water. Spinning the Gobe CPL filter around to find the sweat spot; it was was easy to find as the water became darker and the reflections drastically reducued making the shots of the rowers increased separation from the water. The smooth filter made it easy to change the rotation as i panned to take shots (the image of the Swan taking off was a split second event of the bird taking flight; the reductions in the reflections make it look far better to my eyes) I have tagged a couple of photos taken a sunny day. Common with all CPL filters you are removing light from the photo so you have to drop the aperture or bump up the aperture - especially when taking pictures of moving subjects (something away from my more normal Landscape photography.) With photos and video the Filter gave a very uniform effect over the entire frame on stills. When shooting 1080p video taken on my Canon 6d the good news continued there wasn't any banding and the reflections are nicely reduced over the frame.The Dphoto trial and tree planting are interesting extras that others don't offer; the filter is the main event though and the Gobe 82mm does a remarkable job. The river was shining from the sun for most of the photos but the filter removed the reflection and really make my subjects stand out against the water. Shooting city of rural landscapes, or rowers by the river, with the Gobe CPL you will get the benefit of reduced reflection from windows; or bluer skies.

Gobe has become my filter of choice, mostly UV filters for my pro lenses, using their top of the range Schott glass at very reasonable prices. They are incredible value, beautifully presented and you and they are doing a bit for the environment.I"m not a landscape photographer so didn't fill in that question about the polarising filter I purchased as I mostly shoot in the built environment, but the quality is top notch. No colour cast, very slim frame to use with wide and ultra wide angle lenses with little to no vignetting and great light transmission. A good polarising filter is a must have, it's something that you can't replicate post processing so it's great to see this filter match their UV filters for quality.I use Lee ND filters and ND grads in my work so I like a good filter and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Gobe, whatever version you buy, from budget to Schott glass, quality control seems excellent, consistent and I've bought a fair amount of their filters over the last year and they can't be faulted.At their price they they are a revelation and a no brainer to invest in.

Da GOBE mi aspettavo qualcosa di più, ma in realtà solo una grande e grossa delusione. Ho acquistato la versione professionale con vetro Schott Germany perché sono un fotografo professionista e non bado ai soldi se mi ritorna la qualità in quello che svolgo. Prima di rispedire al mittente il prodotto da me acquistato, ho avuto contatti proprio con il produttore, persona assai gentile, ma tergiversava sempre sull’argomento. Ho inviato a quest’ultimo i vari file con le immagini con e senza CPL, quasi quasi il Signor GOBE metteva educatamente in dubbio la mia professionalità e la mia esperienza ultra trentennale in fotografia. Con il dovuto rispetto, il sottoscritto conosce bene l’utilizzo di un filtro CPL e su come dev’essere impiegato. Un consiglio alla GOBE: producete meno filtri e piantate più alberi, è meglio. Al mero lettore esigente come me, consiglio di acquistare i “soliti” filtri veramente affidabili e di qualità, perché i filtri GOBE sono veramente pessimi. Ultima osservazione, una volta avvitato il filtro sull’ottica è difficile rimuoverlo. Mahhhhh...

Lo compré valorando el precio que tenía y los comentarios de la gente. La verdad es que me ha sorprendido para bien, de hecho me compré después el pack que incluyen varios filtros y estoy muy contento con ellos.El CPL 82 de vidrio aleman Schott es de le mayor calidad de todos los CPL que tienen. Os pongo un par de imágenes para que veáis el efecto que produce.Reduce un par de pasos de luz en la zona polarizada y satura los colores cálidos.Para mi es imprescindible en la mochila!!

J'ai testé, depuis une semaine, ce filtre de la marque GOBE en version avec verres allemands SCHOLL et en diamètre 77mm avec un objectif 17-50mm et je suis très satisfait des résultats.La polarisation permet d'éliminer les reflets sur bon nombre de surfaces (eau, verre, feuille), de saturer les bleus (ciel) et les verts (feuillage) et même de renforcer le contraste (exemple : ciel par rapport aux nuages). Et, dans toutes ces situations, ce filtre polarisant fait très bien le job ! (cf. photos)En plus, le filtre ne fait pas trop perdre de limunosité sur les photos : entre une photo sans filtre et une avec le filtre GOBE réglé à la polarisation minimale on ne perd à peu près que 2/3IL et en polarisation maximale on ne perd qu'environ 1+1/3IL ce qui est plus que correct par rapport à d'autres marques de place.Le revêtant multicouches (16) permet notamment d'éliminer les reflets et le flare sur l'objectif.En vérifiant la netteté des photos sans et avec filtre, je ne constate pas de dégradation ce qui est essentiel.En plus, ce filtre est livré dans une boîte en plastique qui maintien très bien le filtre et, cerise sur le gateau, un chiffon antistatisque est aussi livré en standard (cf. photo).J'ai cru comprendre que la marque Gobe restitue 1% des ventes pour la préservation de l'environnement et fait en sorte que des arbres soient planter pour chaque vente, ce qui, sans être un critère déterminant pour le choix final, est un vrai plus !Bref, je suis très satisfait de ce filtre et, avec l'été qui arrive, je vais avoir de nombreuses occasions de l'utiliser....

Obwohl ich immer noch die linearen Polfilter aus der analogen Fotografie vermisse, muss ich sagen, dass der Gobe Polfilter dicht herankommt. Die Filterwirkung ist gut, farbneutral und die Filterfassung selbst ist so dünn, dass sie nicht stört. Das Schott-Glas ist den Aufpreis wert, im Vergleich zu anderen Markenprodukten (Hoya Digital Pro) bemerke ich einen Vorteil zugunsten Gobe mit Schott-Glas.Mein persönlicher Tipp: Mit sehr, sehr wenig Silikonspray, das vorsichtig im Filtergewinde aufgetragen wird, lösen sich Filter viel einfacher.

Esta marca son solo filtros. Es un conjunto de detalles que hacen de Gobe algo más especial que las marcas típicas de filtros que encontramos en Media Markt. A mi, personalmente me gusta contar con esos detalles. Este es el quinto producto que les compro y nunca he tenido una mala experiencia.Compré este polarizador junto con otro kit UV + Polarizador. Te llega en una caja de carton reciclado. Dentro de la caja viene una funda de plástico también reciclado con una gamuza y el polarizador. La calidad de cada uno de los materiales es muy buena y al tocarlo ya se nota. Una vez en la cámara cumple sobradamente su papel.Al principio leí en varias reseñas que se rayaban con facilidad. Bueno, yo no he tenido ese problema con ninguno de los 5 que tengo. He hecho fotos en la playa, en el desierto de Gobi, bajo la lluvia, en la montaña, etc y no se me han rayado. Lo que hay que saber es cómo y cuando lavarlo. Si tiene arena de playa o tierra y te pones a darle con la gamuza, es obvio que se te va a rayar. Los Gobe y cualquier marca. Lo que hay que hacer es esperarse, estar en un ambiente sin polvo ni suciedad, soplar un poco o darle con la pera y después con cuidado ir limpiando con la gamuza.Además, si te preocupas algo por el medio ambiente, plantan 5 árboles con cada compra.Yo los recomiendo totalmente.

Tout d'abord, comme pour beaucoup d'autres commentaires, une mention spéciale pour la qualité de l'emballage : boite en plastique épais et mousse à la taille du filtre pour éviter qu'il bouge (contrairement aux filtre B+W !!!), puis boite en carton scellée et le tout dans un emballage Amazon. Un chiffon de nettoyage est livré dans la boite.Qualité du filtre a priori excellente (pas encore testé), tourne facilement et se fixe sans problème sur l'objectif ou sur un autre filtre. De plus, permet de remettre le bouchon d'origine de l'objectif. Pas de vignetage sur un 10-24 Fujifilm malgré un filtre UV entre l'objectif et le polarisant.Edit un peu plus d'un an après l'achat ! La partie rotative (avec le verre polarisant) s'est désolidarisée de la partie fixe (avec le filetage) et donc le filtre est devenue inutilisable puisque le verre ne tien plus sur l'objectif. J'attends une réponse de Gobe pour une prise en charge !

Si, es genial lo de sentir que salvas el mundo al comprar estos productos y supuestamente plantar arboles, pero yo compre para usarlo y en el uso tengo que decir que la calidad no ha sido la esperada segun las valoraciones leidas. La presentacion del producto es buena y aparentemente la calidad tambien pero he hecho muchas pruebas (y si, ¡he tenido en cuenta la norma del angulo con respecto a la fuente de luz o sol!) y el resultado es malo o muy malo. La polarizacion no ocurre con la instensidad que incluso otros filtros de menor precio consiguen. Giras y giras y lo haces cambiando de posicion alrededor de donde enfocas y si, notas cambio pero los reflejos siguen ahi y solo en una ocasion casi han desaparecido, pero no se consigue. Vaya por delante que me decidi por estos por ser supuestamente vidrio aleman de mas calidad pero ni asi. Despues hice la prueba de la polarizacion en bosque y costa para ver hasta que punto puedo destacar colores pero de nuevo el efecto es imperceptible. Podria ser que estos filtros solo funcionen bien con determinadas camaras pero con la mia desde luego no. No lo volveria a comprar ni te lo recomendaria

Come da titolo. Acquistato facendo un atto di fiducia nelle recensioni lette in giro per la rete. Montato sul mio Canon 15-85 mi ha sorpreso positivamente dal punto di vista della qualità. Direi che non ha niente da invidiare a polarizzatori circolari di marche più conosciute. Anzi, mi sorprende che la Gobe non abbia ancora la fama che merita. Il fatto, poi, che piantino alberi è un plus che mi rende ancora più simpatico questo fabbricante. Unico difetto che in realtà è una caratteristica comune a molti filtri circolari: si smonta a fatica; perciò consiglio vivamente (per tutti i filtri circolari, non solo per questo) l'apposito accessorio, dal costo di pochi euro, per poterlo svitare con facilità.

Der Filter wurde zügig geliefert und war auch gut verpackt. Das Design der Verpackung ist ansprechend, der Filter ist in einer extra Metalldose (ähnlich einer Filmrollendose) plus Schaustoffpolsterung, wodurch der teure Filter sehr gut geschützt wird.Aufgrund der schmalen Bauweise ist bei der Montage Vorsicht geboten, jedoch problemlos möglich. Das Drehelement lässt sich etwas schwer drehen, demnach muss man aufpassen, dass man den Filter nicht gleich wieder herunterdreht. Besser man dreht den Einstellbereich des Filters Richtung Uhrzeigersinn, damit dies nicht passiert.Qualitativ hatte ich mir mehr bezüglich Filterung der Reflexionen erhofft. Sicher ist es immer eine Frage des Kamerawinkels zum zu fotografierenden Objekt, welches Spiegelungen aufweist, die man entfernen möchte.Aber mein Gedanke bei der Entscheidung zum Kauf waren die Fakten, dass hier Schott Glas verbaut und der Filter nicht gerade preiswert ist.Farblich wie auch schärfeseitig (auch im Randbereich) gibt es nichts zu meckern, alles in Ordnung (für meine Begriffe zumindest).Ich habe den Filter verglichen mit dem Amazon Basic Filter für 12,99 €; gleiche/s Position/Motiv, Stativ, Einstellungen der Kamera etc.Anschließend erfolgte die Sichtung und der Vergleich am PC mit bis zu 100% Anzeigegröße des Bildes (42MP)Mein Fazit:Wer keinen direkten Vergleich machen kann/will, sollte besser zum Amazon Basic Filter greifen. Dieser erfüllt für meine Begriffe die selben Leistungen wie der 5x so teure Gobe FIlter.Dafür kommt der Basic Filter von Amazon "nur" in einer Plastik-Klappbox, welche auch nicht ganz geschlossen werden kann. Aber dies ist mit Hinblick auf die Abbildungsqualität vernachlässigbar.Mich hat die Abbildungsleistung bei diesem Gobefilter bezogen auf den Preis nicht überzeugt. Dennoch finde ich es gut, dass Gobe auch etwas für die Umwelt macht; somit lasse ich mit dem beiliegenden Code 5 Bäume pflanzen. Sehr gute Idee Gobe, aber dieser Filter ist für mich nicht wie erwartet! Deshalb auch die 2 Sterne Abzug bei Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Sono rimasto sinceramente stupito dall'efficacia di questo filtro. Non so esattamente la differenza tra 1, 2 e 3 Peak ma questo è eccezionale rispetto ad altri più economici che negli anni ho provato e dei quali ero comunque soddisfatto. Satura perfettamente i colori ed elimina i riflessi sull'acqua, le nuvole vengono uno spettacolo! Non sono un professionista ma penso sia adattissimo anche per chi fa della fotografia un lavoro.Meccanicamente è ineccepibile. E' molto sottile per evitare possibili vignettature, specie con focali grandangolari. Io lo uso con un Canon 10-18mm per APS-C e non ho riscontrato problemi. La necessità di mantenere sottile la montatura del filtro implica che la filettatura è molto breve, bisogna fare attenzione quando si avvita sull'ottica e non forzare. La cosa migliore è poggiare il filtro sull'ottica in verticale e ruotarlo come se lo si volesse svitare fino a che non lo si sente "cadere" nella filettaura e poi avvitarlo.Consigliatissimo e promosso a pieni voti con lode e bacio accademico!Allego alcuni scatti.

Ich glaube nicht, daß das Problem nur bei meinem alten Minolta 100 mm Makroobjektiv auftaucht.Für dieses hatte ich den Filter bestellt.Die Filterfassung besteht, wie es üblich ist bei Polarisationsfiltern, aus 2 Teilen. Der eine Teil wird in das Objektiv geschraubt, am zweiten dreht man dann den eigentlichen Fliter.Der Teil zum Einschrauben hat einen geriffelten Rand und ist um diese Riffelung größer als der Teil zum Drehen, was eigentlich angenehm ist, wenn man den Filter einschrauben will. Aber dadurch wird das Außenmaß vergrößert, so daß man die (originale) Sonnenblende nicht mehr aufstecken kann.Ich habe mir in diesem Fall dadurch geholfen, daß ich von der Sonnenblende Material weggefeilt habe, wodurch es jetzt funktioniert. Das kann aber nicht Sinn der Sache sein; zumal das Risiko besteht, daß man dann die Sonnenblende nicht mehr wirklich fest bekommt.Da ich annehme, daß das Problem bei allen Objektiven auftreten wird, gebe ich es hiermit zur Kenntnis.Über die Qualität des Filters selbst kann ich (noch) nichts sagen.

Nachdem ich einige Zeit den CPL Slim von GOBE in Benutzung hatte, habe ich mich zum Vergleich an den CPL mit SCHOTT-Glas gewagt.Ich bin nebenberuflich Fotograf und somit auf Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit angewiesen.Der Polfilter von GOBE mit SCHOTT-Glas ist einwandfrei verarbeitet (Aluminium Rahmen und echtes Glas), lässt sich dementsprechend bedienen - das Bedeutet kein "Kratzen" oder "Reiben" beim Drehen des Filters - und er filtert zuverlässig, wie erwünscht, Spiegelungen ohne dabei unerwünschte Reflektionen zu erzeugen oder die Schärfe der Bilder (sichtbar) zu beeinflussen.Mein Fazit: Ich empfehle den Filter jedem, der Wert auf Qualität setzt (ob für Amateure, Passionierte oder Profis) und zugleich ein Produkt mit einem super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sucht.

Acquistati un paio di settimane fa (questo e l'ND1000), provati molti prodotti (sia con costo inferiore che superiore) e posso garantire, rapporto qualità/prezzo alle stelle, non troverete nulla sul mercato che vi offre un prodotto di questa fattura (vetro, metallo, deterioramento immagine inesistente, dominante magenta nel caso del 1000 gestibilissima in post, basta un cartoncino del grigio) a questo prezzo. Acquisto consigliatissimo, non ve ne pentirete (probabilmente anzi vi innamorerete ancor di più della fotografia di paesaggio), il polarizzatore viene svitato solo per essere sostituito dall'ND e viceversa.In più piantano 5 alberi con ogni acquisto, ho quindi contribuito a piantare dieci alberi da qualche parte nel mondo! Cosa chiedere di più!

Overall, I found this filter to be an excellent purchase. I read a few negative reviews on it and was skeptical but found those reviews to be biased against either the product or the company. The filter glass is made by a reputable company and the results I have experienced with a high-quality lens are excellent.The Physical Quality of the product is excellent as well. It appears to be very well made.In terms of image quality, I saw nothing to indicate any lowering of image quality using this filter. It does do what a CP should do and reduce errant light as well as making some colors pop.Bonus, they plant a tree or something to that effect when you buy one. A non-starter for me, but very nice if they actually do.My only nit would be they should put a mark on the rotating element so you know where to point it to the sun. A lot of companies skip this step and I find it extremely annoying. The only reason I didn't drop the rating a star is because they are not the only ones who do this.I highly recommend the product and will definitely buy this brand again.

Aggiornamento del 14 febbraio 2019purtroppo una foto della prima recensione era danneggiata e risultava di dubbia interpretazione, spero arrivi questa volta chiara e completa.Acquistato oltre un anno fa, confrontato con altri CPL di buona qualità ne esce a testa alta tanto che ne ho presi di misure diverse (52, 62, 67 e questo 77 mm).Constato che nella realtà, al suo massimo effetto, toglie circa 1 stop, al contrario di altri filtri che ne tolgono 2 (sempre al loro massimo effetto).Tra quelli che ho, solo gli Hoya HD (l'Hoya CPL nella foto di confronto è in Amazon con ASIN B001G7PMGS) si comportano come questo, cioè tolgono solo 1 stop al loro massimo effetto, questi ultimi però hanno un profilo più sottile di circa mezzo millimetro, quindi guadagnano qualcosa in possibilità di essere usati con grandangolari spinti. Comunque questo GOBE 77 mm lo uso sul mio Nikkor 20 mm f/1,8G montato su fotocamera full frame senza il benchè minimo taglio ai bordi anche a diaframmi molto chiusi, solo il moderato calo di luminosità periferica tipico dei CPL e di filtri che "frenano" in qualche modo il passaggio luce (calo di stop) usati sui grandangolari, correggibile facilmente via software.Non ho provato su grandangoli più spinti del 20 mm citato ma ho avuto lo stesso esito con il GOBE da 52 mm montato su un Nikkor 20 mm f/3,5 Ai manual focus che conservo dai tempi nell'analogico.Questo Gobe 3Peak (in tutte le misure disponibili) è un ottimo filtro, buon trattamento multistrato, non noto dominanti di colore, il suo effetto di abbattimento luce polarizzata è del tutto paragonabile a quello di altri buoni filtri di marca blasonata, si avvita bene all'ottica, si svita qualche volta con le stesse difficoltà che si incontrano con altri filtri CPL di basso profilo, accetta davanti a se il tappo copriobiettivo ed è presentato molto bene in scatola quadrata leggera, semirigida, semitrasparente, ben protetto nella sede ove riposto e adeguata al diametro in uso.Aumenta il contrasto, abbatte drasticamente i riflessi su superfici non metalliche e satura i colori come molti altri CPL importanti. Tra le tre versioni (a 1 - 2 - 3 Peak) è da preferire questa a 3Peak ; con un costo maggiore ma accettabile ci si porta a casa la qualità migliore.Lo riacquisterei ?SI, certamente, salvo doverlo usare su grandangoli molto spinti con filettatura x filtri (alcuni supergrandangolari non hanno la montatura per filtri a vite), in questo caso cercherei la montatura più bassa tra altri buoni brand.Le 4 stelle solo per quel mezzo millimetro in più di profilo rispetto agli Hoya HD, per il resto merita le 5 stelle piene.
