better quality & sturdier than expected, however (pls read on) ...
Recently used this product on a friend's boat (it's his) when we went for steelhead and salmon. Although I was a bit concerned about the strength of the "joint" where the 23"x20" "hoop" joins the 3' handle (it's the weak point - no pun intended - on most nets), it turned out sturdier than expected. The rubber mesh was also strong enuf to easily handle 20 pounders. The basket design/flat bottom made it easy to cradle the fish and keep harm to them to a minimum. And, the large holes in the mesh and its rubber construction helped to prevent treble hook tangles. However, this is not a net to use if standing well above the water (e.g. on a dock, on a the deck of a boat that rides pretty high, etc) even if you've lengthened the handle: becuz it is not as deep as nylon mesh nets and becuz the rubber stretches and flexes quite a bit, if you try to quickly scoop up a heavy fish at a sharp angle, you can wind up bouncing it right out of the net!(I use a rubber COATED mesh net when going for "smaller" fish, such as "resident" river trout & LMB, becuz I pretty much only use lures, but when going for the bigger ones, I use my nylon net becuz it is deep and light enuf to carry around all day. Yeah, you may end up having to spend a couple minutes to cut your line, untangle a treble hook from the mesh, and then tie your snap swivel/leader/lure back on, but if you've just landed a big axx steelhead or salmon, who gives a damn! Lol).Good fishing.

Sturdy and works well
Held up fine on my fishing expedition. Grandchildren used it and had no problem breaking or being torn while used on rocky areas that were sharp.
