Bearing in mind the age range for this bus of 1+, I was surprised as to how much detail Cermick managed to put into it, particularly with the moving door. Nothing has come loose during pay, so I guess it's all fine for the age range.The kids enjoy the lights and sounds, even if they get a bit irritating for the grown ups.It's great to see so much detail in a toy for a 1 year old, compared to the jelly-mould toys you usually see.

I bought this bus toy for my nephew as he's absolutely obsessed with vehicles, especially anything with lights and sounds. The bright green colour immediately caught my eye, and I thought it would be perfect for a toddler who loves pushing things around. The fact that it’s friction-powered also appealed to me because it gives kids the satisfaction of moving it on their own, without batteries constantly running out.Once I took it out of the box, I was impressed with how realistic it looked. The tyres are quite detailed, and the little doors that open and close are a nice touch, making it feel like more than just a basic toy. My nephew loved the lights and sounds, and it kept him entertained for quite a while. He was giggling away as he pushed it across the floor, and I was glad it didn’t require much effort to get it moving. The size is just right for small hands to grab and push along.However, after only a few days of play, I noticed some wear and tear on the toy. The doors, while functional, don’t seem very sturdy. One of them started to get a bit wobbly, and I worry it won’t last much longer with a child who can be a bit rough. Also, the sounds, while fun at first, are quite loud. It doesn’t seem like there’s any way to adjust the volume, which can get annoying for adults after a while.That said, the friction-powered movement is a great feature, and the toy runs smoothly across both carpet and hard floors, which is a bonus. It’s just a shame that the build quality isn’t a bit stronger, especially considering how toddlers can be with their toys.Overall, it’s a fun and engaging toy for little ones, but it could use some improvements in durability. If you’re looking for something that lights up, makes noise, and gives toddlers some interactive play, it’s worth a try. Just be prepared for the volume and the potential need to replace it sooner than you might expect.

The City Public Bus comes in three colors, I got the green one, its nicely decorated and mostly plastic, but the bus itself is very well made. You have a sliding door for the customers to get in and out of the bus and four buttons on the top. The bus itself has four buttons on the top, once you remove the battery isolater tape, you can power up the bus, or reverse sound, or honk your bus horn. It also has a tune that plays for about 15 seconds and that is accompanied by disco lights in the bus itself. Its pretty fun, and is a great gift not just for children but bus fans and collectors alight.The standout feature on this toy is the amazing party lights inside the bus, its just so brilliant.Pros: Well made, light up bus, opening door, rgb lights to sound and music, interactive.Cons: I want another one!

At £10 at the time of this review I reckon its not a bad buy. Despite one of the promotional pictures making this look much larger than it is. It is just under 12 inches long. However the doors open it does a great job of sounding like a ice cream van and has a horn and flashing lights that are activated with the sounds. The Friction-Powered Movement means that it feels OK to push and will keep the momentum going for a few seconds and the doors operate on a small lever. Not a bad toy.How long it will last in the hands of a small enthusiastic child is an unknown which I will find out at Christmas, but it seems well made.

Fun toy which makes noise and has open/closing doors. Seems pretty rugged. Good fun.

The media could not be loaded. This toy bus is big and chunky and easy for young kids to hold and push around. I’ve included my (adult-sized) hand in one of the photos to give you an idea of the scale.Apparently, it comes in three different colours; this n one is green. The detail on it is good and it looks quite authentic. A nice touch is that there’s a lever to one side of the roof which, when you slide it back, opens the doors of the bus, both at the front and on the side.The wheels are friction-powered, which is the type of action where you push it forward a little way and then it continues on for a further distance under its own power.It would be fun for a young child to play with as it is, but it also has a battery chamber on the roof; it comes with button-type batteries fitted, with a paper isolator tab to stop them discharging while in storage/transit. If you pull out the isolator tab, the bus has lights and sound effects as well. I can see this being very popular with toddlers and young children.Personally, I think I’d have liked it if it came with a little driver figure sitting at the wheel - but it’s not a deal-breaker.
