The product is fine on its own and has good quality. The software component, however, is the main source of worry. I have spent four hours on the internet and in forums trying to get this to work with Apple HomeKit, but it doesn't. Instead, you must install the Aqara app, get all the features, and then hope that it works at all. I purchased this to replace my Nuki smart lock, but in the end, I installed Nuki again.

I want to claim my warranty please let me know how as the product is malfunctioning

Easy to install, but that’s where the positives end. HomeKit setup took hours of trial and error. A few months in, it stopped working due to firmware bugs. Aqara sent a beta fix — temporary relief. Now, 9 months later, it’s completely dead. Aqara’s response? “Contact the seller.” No real support, no ownership. For a smart lock, reliability and manufacturer support are non-negotiable. Sadly, the U200 fails at both.

Firstly HUB Requires!!!!! Only Bluetooth usage just so annoying. Connecting to Bluetooth method press the keypad any bottom what is located outside the door panel. Auto lock settings. Press the keypad, connecting Bluetooth and then setting available. Fitted the keypad and smart lock takes 5 minutes work for UK doors ( note!) lifting door handle required by human for operation the lock. Adding users finger print on the Aqara app easy and straightforward, works accurately and fast. Setting up the lock for smart home takes 2 days for me. QR code should work easy but it’s not! I thought it’s connected to the system but it’s not. So much additional settings must be done before the lock would be online. I’m using the lock with Aqara hub M2 connect the hub with wire to eero6 router making sure the connection is existing all the time to the lock. Ecosystems what I’m using with are Apple home, this was the easiest one I would say although the matter was trick me few times and needed to reset the lock several times. Alexa+ now this is the real challenge for setup but possible. Lock now works remotely, smart home integration not easy but ones is set up works shamelessly. Driving home, parking on the driveway saying to Siri I’m home, Siri opening the door while I’m get out from the car. Morning time going to work just saying Alexa open tue door lock, Alexa asking the access code ( can be avoided the access code with Alexa) and open the door. Driving to work asking Siri through CarPlay what is the front door lock status? Siri respond door lock. So yes once the lock set up properly will work shamelessly. Strong and good lock. Bit bulky inside the door but can be used to.

Wir haben das Smart Lock U200 jetzt seit gut einem Monat in Gebrauch und es schon jetzt eines der Geräte, bei denen man sich im Vorfeld fragt, ob man es braucht und es nach 3 Tagen nicht mehr hergeben möchte. Mittlerweile fühlt es sich schon nach Steinzeit an, wenn man mal wieder einen Schlüssel nutzen muss 😉 Ich hatte seit gut 2 Jahren bereits mit einem Nuki geliebäugelt, konnte mich wegen des Preises aber nicht überwinden, denn wir wollten auf jeden Fall ein Keypad mit integriertem Fingerabdrucksensor. Ständig, wenn die Kinder im Garten sind klingeln sie, wenn sie durch die Haustür wieder reinwollen oder -müssen und einen Schlüssel von Außen stecken zu lassen.. Naja.. für eigene Schlüssel sind sie noch nicht alt genug und das Drehen klappt zumindest bei unserer Tochter noch nicht zuverlässig. Jetzt halten sie den Daumen vor das Keypad und die Tür schließt automatisch auf 👍🏻 Weil es einige Dinge gibt, die ich mir mühevoll im Vorfelde zusammenklauben musste, die richtigen Antworten jedoch erst bekam, als ich das Gerät zu Haus in den Händen hielt, hier einige Infos: - Der Aqara-Hub ist NICHT notwendig. Es funktioniert bei uns komplett ohne Einbindung ins Smarthome-System (und davon haben wir so einiges). Um NFC nutzen zu können (z.B. Apple Watch oder Homekey) denke ich jedoch darüber nach es über einen HomePod mini ins Matter einzubinden. Das wäre aber bei uns nur Spielkram.. oder Angeberei 🤪 - Das Gerät kommuniziert mit dem Keypad ausschließlich via Bluetooth. Einige Testberichte schreiben, das Schloss funktioniere nicht, wenn der Onlinedienst einmal nicht zur Verfügung stünde. Das kann ich nicht bestätigen. Lediglich die Einbindung oder Einrichtung eines neuen Gerätes würde in dem seltenen Fall nicht klappen. Aber wie häufig macht man das? - Einstellungen über die App lassen sich nur dann vornehmen, wenn man sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Keypads befindet und die App fordert einem auch ständig auf eine Taste auf dem Keypad zu drücken, was verhindert, dass sich irgendjemand von außen an Einstellungen machen kann. - Das Schloss schließt immer „doppelt“ ab und beim Aufsperren natürlich auch doppelt auf. Man kann wählen, ob es die Falle (also den imaginären Türdrücker) lösen soll, oder das Schloss nur entriegelt wird. - Es lässt sich einstellen, wie lang die Falle entsperrt sein soll (sekundenbereich), bis sie wieder zufällt. Bei unserer Tür sind 3 Sekunden optimal, da die Kinder manchmal einen Augenblick länger brauchen, um sie aufzustoßen. Aber kein Problem es anzupassen - Da die Falle bei uns beim Aufsperren mit entriegelt wird, hat es natürlich auch zur Folge, dass die Tür beim morgendlichen Aufsperren „aufspringt“ (Video) Sehe ich weniger als berechtigten Nachteil, weil wir uns einfach angewöhnt haben, die Tür erst dann aufzusperren, wenn wir auch durch sie durchgehen wollen. Und da ergibt es auch total Sinn - Will man abends mal etwas leiser das Schloss öffnen, dann drückt man, bevor man den Fingerabdruckscanner betätigt, den Haken auf dem Keypad. Dann dreht das Schloss langsamer und dadurch erheblich leiser - Die Montage des Schlosses erfolgte bei uns mit Hilfe der beiliegenden Unterlegplatten klebend, weil wir weniger als 3 mm Überstand beim Schließzylinder haben (Bild). Mit der Lösung bin ich aber vollkommen zufrieden und es ist wirklich (!) stabil. - Das Schloss hat einen eingebauten Akku und lässt sich z.B. mit einer Powerbank und dem beiliegenden Säckchen am Türgriff hängend laden. - Akku nach 4 Wochen und täglicher, intensiver Nutzung wird noch als voll angezeigt. Alles in allem bin ich froh, dass wir uns doch für das Aqara-Schloss entschieden haben und nicht für eines von Nuki, weil es unsere Anforderungen voll erfüllt.

Erg fijne smartlock. Makkelijk en in eerste instantie geen hub nodig. Wil je wel de deur op afstand gaan bedienen heb je een matter hub nodig. De Aqara hub M3 zal de voorkeur hebben volgens Aqara zelf. Welke andere hub weet ik zo niet. Het slot heeft helaas nog geen optie om in een staan van zeg 5 meter de deur zelf te ontgrendelen door detectie van de telefoon. Mocht je een Apple hebben is er wel veel mogelijk door Apple home. Ik als android gebruiker kan hier niet veel over zeggen. Vingerafdruk werkt 9 van de 10 keer zonder probleem en pincode altijd tot zo ver. Vergeet echter niet een noodbediengs cilinder aan te schaffen als je deze niet hebt. Dit houd in dat als er een sleutel aan de binnenkant zit je de cilinder nog kan gebruiken met een sleutel van de andere zijde. YALE heeft hier niet al te dure van en werken perfect. Al met al fijn slot en veel mogelijkheden. Vandaar 5 sterren.

Compatibilità con homekeys al top; sblocco da watch o iphone rapido e perfetto. Unica pecca la mancanza della lingua italiana nell’app nativa aqara e le istruzioni di installazione/configurazione molto poco chiare. Sormontata questa piccola difficoltà iniziale, sono soddisfattissimo dell’acquisto e lo consiglio in particolar modo a chi, come me, ha un ecosistema apple e vuole una serratura perfettamente integrata con homekit.

I used to be an Auguest user. I was debating between Aqara U200 and Schlage Encode. I endded up buying U200. The main function I wanted was Apple home key. However, I found the finger print function on U200 is way more convinenent, and I ended solely using it. It also has so many other good figures beyond my original expedition, such as auto lock once door close, kids friendly auto open/close with helped power. This is a huge upgrade to me and my family and a total 5***** start product! --- The only one thing to note is, you may need do an upgrade and reset before connecting to Apple Home if you happens to get stuck in the first path. After that no any issue.
