Superfly 6 Oz JAR

The stuff smells horrible, but it works great. It produces a lot of fruit flies and it is easy to make. I recommend this for anybody who needs to grow food for their little spiders or whatever else they’re feeding flightless fruit flies to.

This has the most god awful smell, but greay product for fruit flys! Love how well it feeds them!!

Works well and doesnt have a horrible smell. Its easy to make and instructions are pretty clear. One of these jars can make quite a bit so for thr price I think you get a good deal.

Makes lots of flies. Only smells at the end of the cultures life so for that I would say make sure you use boiling water and font overfill your cultures

This works well for raising flightless fruit flies for my praying mantis. Super easy to use and doesn't smell as bad as the homemade recipe I used in the past. Still, keep in mind this isn't completely odorless. The longer it sits, the more it starts to smell unpleasant.

SuperFly = Super Fruit Fly Cultures! Provides great nutrition that allows your fruit flies to thrive! I have made about five cultures now and have not had any issues. My fruit flies all reproduce pretty rapidly and are very healthy. I can make my cultures in about three minutes, which is extremely convenient. All you have to do is mix boiling water with the superfly powder and let it cool before adding your fruit flies! There’s no foul odor or weird smell that the mix gives off either! In my opinion, this mix is worth the money with how many cultures you can make out of it! Plus, you have the comfort of knowing where your feeders are being raised & produced.

I have been using a homemade mix for the past 6 months of fly culturing with little to no problems, however I wanted to try this mix after hearing others recommend it. I was told it was a low-odor, high-producing food for melanogasters, and from my experience thus far, this has been true. However, I have noticed the mix can have a funky smell after about a week. This is an observation exclusive to this mix and has not been an issue with my homemade mix (base of instant mashed potatoes and banana). I am curious to see if this problem will persist with all my fly cultures in the future with this mix. If so, I may return to my non-stink homemade version.

I won't try any other products for making fruit fly cultures. Best I have worked with, dont try the other DIY videos. This item gives all the nourishments needed.

I give the product 5 stars having used it for years, however the price is far more than local stores. I should have paid attention to the size before purchasing.
